11.01.2022 The past few years I've worked in an architectural office. It's been nice, there are plenty of good pens, green mags & cardboard models. Generally the list of things to work on is long and you can forget to stop and be human. I've been lucky enough to work with some of the loveliest people, who I have partly to thank for the conception of sun on leaf. It originally came from the idea that tea breaks take you away from computers. You drink, talk, learn something about the pers...on you rub shoulders with all day and go back to work; and when you get home at the end of the day you don't feel completely like a robot. The second moment this idea began to bloom was in my kitchen, feeling so overwhelmed with a million things and doing them all badly. I told myself I had to pick something small and do it well. I chose to make a cup of tea. It snowballed....just a little. See more

09.01.2022 This is genmaicha. It's now permanently on the menu. Green Australian grown sencha with added roasted rice, otherwise known as 'popcorn tea'. It's smooth, nutty and very very drinkable. My current go to in every situation. #castlemaine #looseleaftea #bendigo

07.01.2022 A surprisingly quiet breakfast with multiple cups. Tasting potential new Ceylons. 100% enjoyable.

04.01.2022 Sun on leaf has new owners! I’m delighted to introduce Mel, Leonie and Jess who will be carrying this little business on and giving her the attention, love and energy she deserves. It’s been a real pleasure in many ways, I’m proud of this, but, alas, sometimes we take on too much and commitments far outways hours in the day. I really look forward to seeing the big things these ladies have in store and Im excited to spend more time drinking tea....slow...ly You can continue to reach Sun on leaf via www.sunonleaf.com.au or email [email protected] Hannah
