25.01.2022 We are a major supporter of these amazing sunglasses. Not only do they protect our players eyes from the suns rays, but reduce glare from the sun the reflection off the hard court, they dull the light down, whilst highlighting the lines and ball. The white lines and optic yellow really show up brighter. Highly recommend them for anyone playing tennis, regardless of age, we have players as young as 9 years old up to late 60's wearing them. If you would like to try it out, give us a call and we can restring your weapons of mass destruction ready for your next match. We carry various different strings, and can most times do 24hr turn around on a restring (conditions apply, depending upon string availability)

23.01.2022 On Saturday 26th of September the world lost a great man. Mitchell Stuart was a great father, son, brother and friend. Mitch was one of the original students of superior tennis having started training at the academy almost 20 years ago. We mourn this loss and our thoughts are with his family. Aced but never forgotten. Rest in Peace Mitchell

23.01.2022 So today saw 22 kids that we train, shake off the nerves and compete for the first time on our inclub championship, in orange ball. After shedding the nerves the tennis was amazing, with all the players and spectators totally amazed by the level of competition, the amazing sportsmanship and the level of support shown by not only the parenrs but fellow players. Massive thanks to Kate, Carmel and Beau for their work today in helping run, organise and score matches, and huge th...anks to all of the parents for their unwavering support and assistance in making our day easier. Our winners on the day in the girls orange ball was Charlotte and runners up being Brooke. Eva too away the sportsmanship award In the boys we had a massive morning with Ryan taking out Jack McEwan and little Lincoln our silent assassin taking out the boys sportsmanship award. Thanks again to all.

20.01.2022 Well here we are the final dance, the grandest of stages, Grand Final day. If you are interested in watching not only our 3 teams but the best of the Gold Coast come to Miami Tennis centre, Pizzey drive from 1230 today. Our 3 teams won't be on til 245pm, come and support them all. 19.01.2022 Well the final dance, the big stage is over. Grand final day has been won and done. Congratulations to all those teams across the Gold Coast that made it through to the finals. Superior Tennis Academy had 3 teams in the finals, such a big effort for a small club, with 2 of our teams getting wins, and our other team competing ever so hard. Massive congratulations to Superior Tennis Academy Superstars , winning all 3 sets, in tight matches, well done Jye, Austin and Beau. T...hen there is the Superior Tennis Academy Mavericks, in greenball 2 with the brother and sister combo, Shayna and Aithan, doing it the hard way, splitting their singles rubbers and going the distance in the doubles to win it in a tie breaker. Then followed by the team that lost narrowly 2 sets to one, Superior Tennis Academy Aces, our greenball 3 team of Angus Blake and Brock, played with so much heart and commitment, to split the singles rubbers and unfortunately toiled hard but went down 6/3 in the final doubles. Well played to all, many thanks to the parents for their efforts in helping them , supporting them and being committed to the team. Next season we will have 6 teams in, so get behind our small club n support the game of tennis. See you on the court

19.01.2022 Currently our 7am, 715am and 730am classes have been cancelled, as we had a heavy showers at 5am. All other classes are to go as planned, until further notice.

15.01.2022 Massive congratulations to Rafa on winning his 20th grand slam, and 13th French open title. Equalling Roger Federer record. We are so lucky to be witnessing the big 3 players in the world who have truly set men's tennis on fire over the last 20 years. After growing up in a great era of Sampras Agassi and co, watching Pistol Pete winning 14 slams and thinking no one will ever top that, yet the big 3 have taken that number and blown it away.

15.01.2022 So this Sunday we are putting on an In club championship for our adults. This is the inaugural year for the event, with 10 in the men's draw and 3 in the women's. They are playing for the Peter Derig Shield and Daphne Johns Shield. Both shields are named after people that have played a massive role in my life in tennis over the years. For the event, there is a cash prize for winners/runners up. We will be seeking a sponsor for next year's event This is going to be an annual... event, hopefully growing as the years roll on. This is open to players, parents and supporters of Superior Tennis Academy, so if you want to get on board, please get your racquets out, and get training. We have various squad options for adults to participate in and grow their tennis skill and knowledge, creating the environment that tennis is "A game for the whole family for a lifetime" If you want to come and watch and support the inaugural event, it will be played at Pro One Tennis Centre Runaway Bay this Sunday 8th November at 8am. This is one of many events that we are putting in motion as a small club, with a big heart. Our programs include: ANZ hotshots program Development and Elite squad training Adult training Private sessions TGC Saturday competition Involvement in TGC interschools challenge Orange ball in club championship Greenball in club championship Yellow ball in club championship Adults in club championship Parent/child doubles championship (new in 2021) Local and state tournaments We also do racquet sales (junior and adult), racquet restringing and regripping, basically anything to do with tennis we can cater for it, if we can't we can definitely give u the best advice. 12.01.2022 With school holidays nearing their completion, we resume training on Monday 5th October (yes we are aware its a public holiday), its easier for STA to resume on the Monday, as we have many players that train mondays and with the new competition season starting 10th October. We have a massive term ahead, with an in club orange ball event (inaugural event) an adult in club championship (also inaugural event), a couple of JDS events in our schedule too. We have a couple of ne...w ideas and events to implement for next year too, shhhhhhhhh, will have to keep eyes out. 10.01.2022 Congratulations to all of our competitors in our in club championship from the weekend, plus it also served as a selection trial for teams to join TGC competition. It was great to see so many smiling faces on all our kids. 25 of our kids played their hearts put, in windy conditions competing for the winners trophies, across green ball and yellow ball. Many thanks to coach Carmel, who not only acted as our tournament referee but she was such a great support for all our new players, the gentlemen who shared the cooking duties in between watching their own kids play, Kate at Pro One Runaway Bay for allowing us to utilise their centre and lastly the parents and players for your tireless dedication to tennis and training and everything in between. Let's get back to training and build for the start of the summer season of tennis competition.

02.01.2022 Good morning all, yes we are back on the court finally, after all the precipitation (see can't even type the R word). For those that don't know the R word rhymes with pain hahahaha. For our fixtures teams, just a quick one for today, even thou u may not have been able to hit a ball this week at training, the tennis ball, tennis court, swing patterns footwork hasn't changed. You know how to play, go and apply it all. Most of our teams are in contention for semi finals and t...hey are only a few weeks away, let's make sure we get there, 7/3 is a good win, 9/1 even better. 01.01.2022 Good evening, we survived. Camp 1 done n dusted, a couple of places are available for camp 2, but they will get swallowed up quick. Jump on board, a great 2 days, loads of laughs and new friendships formed. Looking forward to next week already. No photos as we had so much going on, but believe me was a full on 2 days, we even squeezed in a water bomb fight today.
