25.01.2022 Thanks Fiona Patten for standing up for local residents and supporting their request to have the carpark entrance for the new Bell Station moved WEST!

21.01.2022 Protesting today at Mantra against the cruelty and inhumanity of indefinite detention. Protests daily, 3pm weekends 5pm weeknights. Please join, and if you’re driving by, honk loudly- the men inside can hear and it is a sign of your care and solidarity.

19.01.2022 This is such a familiar story and pokies venues in Darebin are no better. I am proud to be part of a Council which has adopted a tough on pokies policy (the strongest in the country) to protect our residents from gambling harm and call out this predatory industry.

18.01.2022 COVID recovery update I am really pleased that Darebin Council has been able to identify over 100 new jobs that we can create as part of the Victorian Government's Working for Victoria initiative. We are looking for people to join our team. Do you know someone who is looking for a job - please spread the word! The roles will be on a six-month basis ranging from IT to Community Service Support roles. Some jobs will only be advertised for a short amount of time, based on demand, so the key is to get in quick. More info at: www.darebin.vic.gov.au/workingforvictoria

18.01.2022 How beautifully Christos Tsiolkas has captured some of the things we love abut out neighbourhoods in his introduction to Warren Kirk's new book Northside. Thanks Christos and Warren!

11.01.2022 Tonight the new Council was sworn in. This photo was taken stright afterwards. With Covid, it was a very different kind of experience but what a great looking team!

09.01.2022 I really encourage all Darebin residents to attend this forum. You will be able to hear from candidates first hand and find out what they stand for. You decide who leads and governs our Council after October. Make sure your vote counts!

08.01.2022 Well done to all the candidates who ran in the nine new Darebin wards. It has been a pleasure to meet so many of you, and to see so many excellent campaigns. I look forward to staying in touch. To all those who supported me by letterboxing, hosting posters, donating, providing advice and design, to friends and family, I am so grateful. This win is as much yours as mine. And to those who voted for me, thank you also! I would not be here without you. But regardless of how you voted, I am here for you now. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with your council related questions and feedback. Regards Susan

08.01.2022 Come and hear from some candidates in the forthcoming council elections. Ballot papers will arrive in the next week. Get prepared!

07.01.2022 The Moon Rabbit bulk food co-op at the Bridge Darebin is back up and running. It makes shopping such a lovely experience, and has the benefit of being completely packaging free. Bring your jars and containers down on Tuesday evening 4-6.30pm or Wednesday 9-2pm. 218 High Street Preston . I’m volunteering Wednesday mornings, hope to see you here. www.moonrabbit.org.au/bulk-foods-collective/

07.01.2022 Darebin deserves the best quality homes for the future. That's why we employed a City Architect to drive better outcomes for our community and future residents.

07.01.2022 GO WEST! That’s the message from our creative Bell residents. Please watch, share and sign their petition.

02.01.2022 Lots of happy faces at Penders park today with the unveiling of the new play space. As a councillor, I have supported stage two which will be rolled out in the next 12 months and will include inclusive play elements for older kids.
