22.01.2022 < Spikeroos | Learn to Play > Our Term 4 Spikeroos has commenced with over 150 kids participating in our program. This term, we have expanded our program to an...other night, due to the increased interest in our program. We have been getting many phone calls and emails from parents regarding about where to play for their child. Our Spikeroos junior development program is the perfect place for your child to start and learn volleyball. Our program is suitable for players from 8 - 18 years old and is for all levels and abilities with an emphasis on skills development in a fun and supportive environment. During training, players are divided into different ability and age groups and work on developing fundamental skills as well as game play. Currently our Spikeroos program run on: Fridays @ Sydney Olympic Park, Sports Halls Beginner: 5:30pm - 6:50pm Intermediate: 7:10pm - 8:30pm Mondays @ Sydney Olympic Park, Genea Netball Central Beginner: 6pm - 7:20pm Intermediate: 7:40pm - 9pm In order to join, parents will have to register before the term on our website: http://www.nswvolleyball.com/play/spikeroos Our Term 4 program is currently full, however we are looking forward to hold this program on more nights in 2021. 17.01.2022 For this week's #TakeoverTuesday, we have Izac Carracher taking over our Instagram! After competing in multiple national juniors indoor volleyball championships, Izac went to United States to play college Volleyball for University of Southern California (USC) in the 2018-19 season. USC is a NCAA division 1 team that is ranked 3rd out of all US college teams! Since then, Izac has transferred to beach volleyball as a member of the AVA program training with national coaches toward world tour events in 2020 and 2021. 13.01.2022 For a year that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons worldwide, it's a great time to reflect on all the wins from 2020. Despite all the hurdles this year presented we still delivered 19 major tournaments involving over 650 teams, held a three part online Coaching Master Class, launched the Indoor and Beach Performance Camp Series, and have confirmed the future is very bright with our Spikeroos and Sporting Schools programs growing exponentially, catering to the most participants in Volleyball NSW history. Not a bad effort for what has been a 'terrible' year... and we're just getting started! Here's to an amazing 2021 - Happy New Year!

11.01.2022 Warning - cuteness overload! It is never too early to start Volleyball! On Wednesday, Volleyball NSW visited Guardian Childcare & Education for a Volleyball excursion ... It was very successful and the kids absolutely LOVED it. It started off with some throwing and catching over Volleyball Australia 's free standing net which can be adjusted to a sitting net or a standing net. The kids then started learning the basics of Volleyball very quickly. ( See pictures below) Aren't they adorable? This is something new that we have never done before and we are still in the process of trying new things out. We will continue to work hard and hopefully be able to deliver a range of programs across all age groups.
