24.01.2022 Vegetables for breakfast! Food is food! Why do we put restrictions on ourselves as to what is classified as something we can or can not eat for breakfast. During this time of year I especially make an effort to make up a big batch at the start of the week. If I eat vegetables for breakfast & then don’t have very many during the rest of the day I can relax & know that I have already given myself a great start to my day. ... Each day I heat it up either in the frying pan with ghee or in the oven. If I am running short of time I pop it in my thermos & then eat it either in the car or at my destination. 23.01.2022 DEEP BREATHING Without thought we are breathing but it’s unconscious. This causes us to shallow breathe from the chest. Breathing and expanding our stomach while doing so is incredibly nourishing. Especially if we are in the flight or fight response activated from the daily stresses of life. ... It also brings us back into our body and reduces anxiety. Here are some deep breathing techniques: Start by placing one hand on your belly and one on your chest. Take a deep breath in through your nose, making sure you are expanding your tummy but not moving your chest. Breathe out slowly through your mouth. Repeat this 5 times and take your time. Practicing before bed or just after you wake up are a perfect time as you are lying down in a relaxed state. Once you master the art of this then you can incorporate it into your daily routine Next time you feel the stress creeping up & tapping you on the shoulder- try this. 22.01.2022 How often do you smile? Take a moment now... think about it. Do you smile at strangers when they walk past you?... I did an experiment yesterday. There was someone who looked like they were not in the mood for smiling at all. So I put on my biggest most smiling face that I could and guess what they smiled. When you are happy and smile at someone its contagious. My challenge for you today is to make someone smile with your smile. Go on do it! Its the best feeling! & if you don’t feel like you have a reason to smile then let’s have a chat. I bet I can help you find 100 reasons to smile!

18.01.2022 This is our workout from this morning Daphne wasn’t doing much but we were having fun. We were connecting.... Are you letting the excuse of the kids being around stop you? Solution.... get them involved! You may not be able to finish & it’s definitely not going to be perfect. Can you take imperfect action anyway? 18.01.2022 CELEBRATION Today I celebrate my graduation! I graduated in March but due to Covid everything got delayed and I only just received my certificate! ... Reflecting on the journey that I have taken to get here, I feel so PROUD. Once I stumbled on this course I was HOOKED. I had to sign up and do anything to get my certification. This included getting up at 4am most mornings to make sure that I was on top of everything. I felt so alive, driven & passionate, every lecture I listened to my mind was blown! It took me a long time to get to this place of knowing exactly what I was put on this earth to do, BUT I am so grateful for all of the life lessons, jobs and people I have met along the way. ALL of this has aligned me to get to this very moment. My heart is full. If there is something that you want to do. YOU CAN DO IT! 16.01.2022 CELERY One of my all-time favourite vegetables! The smell of it reminds me of my Grandmother - Patricia (Nanny). She would always have some in her fridge in water to keep it fresher for longer. Nanny is no longer with us but she is with me every morning when I juice it up. ... Celery juice is not for everyone, it is very time-consuming with the sourcing, cutting, washing storing. Not to mention the special juicer you need, & making sure you clean the juicer straight away! I have an intolerance to gluten but celery juice is wonderful with helping me with this issue! I had a break from it for a while there but now I am back on the train because I noticed a massive difference. Celery Juice's sodium cluster salts help neutralise and lower the number of viral toxins floating through the bloodstream and elevating inflammation. It helps flush these toxins out of the liver, bloodstream and kidneys. It gives me energy and I feel so hydrated and light because of it. Reach out if you would like to have a chat about this. 14.01.2022 EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON I am such a big believer in divine timing and that everything that happens good or bad is for a reason. At the time you might want to slap the person saying this to you (eg me! Ha!) ... BUT if you think about it and I mean REALLY think about that moment in time which changed everything, you will see the lessons you were shown and how it has got you to where you are today. 09.01.2022 KALE I used to go crazy with Kale EVERYTHING. I soon came to the realisation that it does not always agree with me. I can not have raw kale. It is too harsh on my stomach. I need to make sure it has been cooked or broken down in some way. Eg massage it in olive oil before i put it in my salad. I do not put it in my smoothies anymore. The way i enjoy this the most is fryed up with ghee for breakfast with a heap of other vegetables. YUM ... Did you know that kale is an excellent source of calcium? How do you enjoy your kale?
