21.01.2022 Today we remember our good mate and all round consummate waterman Captain Trevor Elms. Trevor sadly left the line up this day four years ago. But he is forever remembered and lives on strongly in our memories. Our thoughts and good wishes are with Carmel and Trevor's family

21.01.2022 Hi all .... absolute long shot here ... I have lost a VERY VERY sentimental piece of jewellery that means the world to me . It’s a sweet gold bracelet with a be...e charm. I think I may have lost it somewhere near Woolworths in the strand shopping centre yesterday . I would be so so appreciate and offer a reward for it if anyone can help me retrieve this . See more

18.01.2022 Saw Bakers Delight has closed its doors. Did somebody thank them for their support over the years? I never heard any complaints about their bread!!!!!

16.01.2022 Most of the crew are in hiding. The cool weather (20deg water!) has kept many deep in their burrows. A DISTINCT LACK OF WAVES is the more obvious reason for lack of activity. As we get older we realize that we've probably already HAD the best waves of our lives but its still fun to vicariously surf behind the rock with Joel.

15.01.2022 On this day back in 2016 our good friend and master waterman the Captain paddled off the line up for the last time. Our thoughts today are with Carmel and the the rest of the Captains family.

14.01.2022 Hi everyone. Just a reminder that the barby is on this Thursday. See you all there for brekky and banter 8.30 onwards.

13.01.2022 It is with deep sadness that I advise that the Table of Knowlege has lost another of its greatest watermen, Johnny Macnamara, or Johnny Mac as we affectionately knew him. Johnny died while surfing early this morning at Rainbow Bay. He was a highly skilled and dedicated surfer who served his community through a long career as a highly respected Senior Fire Officer in the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service. As a surfer he went down doing what he loved to the very end. His sudde...n loss will have a profound effect on us all as he was a much loved, respected and well regarded by all he came in contact with. His capacity for fun, humour and laughter, and for living life to its limits was boundless. We will not see the likes of Johnny ever again as he was one of a kind. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wonderful wife and family. Rest In Peace Johnny. See more

13.01.2022 Please note, the traditional surfers paddle out to farewell our dear mate Johnny Mac, will be held at Rainbow Bay, on Sunday 6th January, at 8.00am NSW time and 7.00am Qld time. The gathering point for the paddle out will be the beach area in front of the Table of Knowledge BBQ at Pat Fagen Park, adjacent Greenmount Point. After the completion of the paddle out, the Table of Knowledge Boardriders Club will be holding a free BBQ for all attending, in honour of Johnny.... In the unlikely event that sea and surf conditions are too extreme for the paddle out to take place at Rainbow Bay, it will be held at the alternative location of the Jack Evans Boat Harbour, Tweed Heads/Coolangatta.

12.01.2022 Great changes and new blood. Hopefully there is an IT adept who can keep our viewers posted!!!!!

12.01.2022 Hi to all. See you in ther soups!!!!! (PRESS:)

11.01.2022 Watching the first swell of the season here and thinking about how important it is to surf co-operatively. When there are long waits between sets we know there will be plenty of riders jockying for the take-off. When five of you catch it don't make things worse by agressively demanding sole possession of the wave. Better to laugh and figure out how to make the best of what you're given. Nobody owns the waves - we should be able to share them!!!!!

11.01.2022 Short clips of the small surf along the sea wall today at Bahia de la Concha, San Sebastián in Spain. Very fickle and tide dependant wave

10.01.2022 Thinkin' bout me old mate Trev - from PRESS!!!!!

10.01.2022 some reminiscenses!

10.01.2022 It was twelve months today, 19 December, 2018 that we lost our dear friend and fellow waterman Johnny McNamara. He is greatly missed and we think of him often. Our thoughts today are with Johnny‘s family. Where ever you are in the great ethereal wave garden Johnny, may the waves be forever perfect.

09.01.2022 A fun night at Greenmount last night for the Christmas party. Great turn out enjoyed by all. Thank you to all our members for supporting TOK.

07.01.2022 Today marks the anniversary of the departure of our good friend and life long surfer Captain Trevor Elms, a supreme and fearless waterman and absolute gentleman. Who taught us all some serious lessons about how to live life. The Captain will always remain in our collective memories. And whenever we paddle out into the Rainbow Bay line up that he loved so much, we always feel his spirit out there with us. Today our thoughts are with Carmel and his loving family.

07.01.2022 sans social distancing

04.01.2022 Further our earlier advice regarding the paddle out for our dear mate and fellow surfer and wave warrior Johnny Mac. We are able to advise that a funeral service for Johnny will be held at 11.00am (NSW time) 10.00am (Qld time) on Friday, 4th January, 2019, at the Elevation Church, Tweed Heads, NSW. A farewell wake for Johnny will take place at the Greenmount Surf Club, Coolangatta after the funeral service. It is anticipated that a paddle out for Johnny will be held at Rainbow Bay on either the following Saturday or Sunday. We will advise you further on the date and time as soon as plans for this are firmly in place.
