25.01.2022 What a fantastic opportunity these students have had at Cowra TAFE this week gaining skills in welding! The students have undertaken fully subsidised training in the Statement of Attainment in Farm Welding and have gained skills in two units : MEMPE002A Use Electric welding machines and MEMPE003A Oxy acetylene and solder They have enjoyed their time with us and have created projects to take with them. ... Stay safe while you enjoy the great outdoors with our Statement of Attainment in Drive and Manoeuvre Trailers (900-81567V01). This course will be held at our Dubbo Campus and will teach you how to drive and manoeuvre a trailer while attached to a vehicle. You’ll learn all you need to know to inspect the trailer before use, connect the trailer to a vehicle, drive the trailer and disconnect... the trailer from the vehicle. The trailers may have non-pivoting axles or pivoting front axles. The course cost is $275 and you will complete a theory portion and then attend a scheduled practical day on either Saturday 19th September, Saturday, 24th October, or Saturday, 6th December, 2020. Skillset and TAFE NSW have combined and will be offering the "Cowra Clean Up" program which is a pre employment program for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples who would like an introduction to the Waste Management or Construction Industry. This program can provide a pathway and training credit towards an Apprenticeship or Traineeship in a variety of areas including Builders Labourer, Demolition Worker or Wast...e Collector.
