25.01.2022 Well, that’s pretty exciting. My soap stamp arrived home today and I’ve spent some time experimenting with how best to get the details. It looks ace and I can’t... wait to roll it out (oh, punshine!) on all the soaps. Thanks to David from TAS3D for getting this bad boy made for me. Check out @handlebarsoapco over on Instagram for more soap fun. See more

24.01.2022 Just a quick update on our progress regarding what Were trying to do to help in these trying times. Weve been in contact with a lot of good people over the last few days. This led to finding out that medical supplies are by far the most necessary things that we can help with right now. The images below are all files that have been created and produced for open source use, by students, scientists, and the general public.... As soon as our materials get here, Well be starting to print as many units as we can of the Prusa face shield, the Montana Mask, and the Charlottes valve, which is used for re-purposing scuba masks for use as a personal ventilator. Unfortunately We are supplying the masks without filters currently for various reasons, the biggest of which being an extremely short supply on everything mask and filter related. Hopefully within the coming weeks, this wont be as much of a problem, and Well be able to ship with filters installed. We are providing all of our time and prints for free, (a donation for material costs is certainly appreciated) but please know that people at high risk, and medical staff, are currently our highest priority. Last but not least, if you, or anyone you know would like to help the cause, and have a 3D printer, please join this group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/3DPrintedPPEAust Links provided below.

19.01.2022 Thank You all for the 200 likes! In the midst of all the chaos, Were still trying to keep the business running as normal. Not much has changed for Us other than the obvious lack of consumer confidence having quite a large impact. But Wed just like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Customers, Followers and Friends, for the continuous support over the last year and a half. Wed also like to say that the best thing You can do in the coming months (other than being as hygienic as possible), is to support Your fellow humans, and as much as You can, support Australian businesses. Stay safe everyone <3

18.01.2022 Another topographical map, another happy customer! This piece is section of the Eastern coastline from Electrona to Bonnet hill. Made from Huon Pine, with a clear coated live edge & resin filled waters. What do you think of it? :D

17.01.2022 Weve seen a lot of people in the 3D printing and DIY community offering their services to print masks and face shields recently. Australia is currently, like the rest of the world, facing an extreme shortage on medical PPE, thanks to the thing that shall not be named. Whilst we have the capability to make masks and face shields in house, out of medically friendly materials, We felt the need to ask the Community if theres anything They feel may need more drastic focus. ... TAS3D would like to offer our services in whatever way we can to help our local and expanded community get through this crisis, in the short and long run. We have printers ready to print, and CNC machines ready to CNC machine, We can cast (epoxy, silicone, plastics, metals) laser cut, and vacuuform. If you need something made but dont know where to start, Well help you design it. If theres anything we can do for You, the Government service You work for, Your business/company, or anyone you know, that may be able to help even a little bit, get You through these unpredictable and devastating times, please comment on this post, or give us a message, text, phone call or email. Contact details can be found on our Facebook page. 15.01.2022 Custom Laser cut acrylic component for an upcoming personal project. Looking good :D

15.01.2022 Weve been quiet on the social media side of things recently, but jobs have started to come back through the door, or more specifically, the phone, Email & Facebook inbox. Its been great to see more people recently focused on the idea of local manufacturing, as We feel it leads to a more beneficial relationship for both Us, and the Client. And, in turn, ends up being better for our local economy.... However as people start returning to work, and losing grip of that precious free time, We implore everyone to try to stay creative, and stay motivated! Were all in this together :D

15.01.2022 First Charlottes valves off to the Hospital. :) Link below for more details on their use.

14.01.2022 We werent happy with our first go at making this piece. Since then, We started completely from scratch, working on getting the CAD file right, Figuring out the perfect toolpaths with the right milling bits, and all the while trying to compromise on time, making sure one of these things wouldnt take hundreds of hours to make, (again) We present, Tasmania, in all its glory, CNC milled from Huon pine with an aqua dyed resin pour to mimic the oceans and rivers. This particular... piece of timber had a large knot that needed to be filled. There are a few small bubbles trapped in the knot, otherwise this piece came out perfect in our opinion. If You cant tell, Were really happy Weve finally got the process for making these sorted, and Well be keen to make a lot more of them. This piece is for sale at $450.00 Dont worry if You miss out on this one, order one on our store! :) - Tas3d.com.au/shop

07.01.2022 For the first time ever, Tas3D is at maximum workload capacity! Certainly a celebration more than anything really, however this does mean that there will be delays in our usual, near unbeatable turnaround times, for new jobs, over the course of the next fortnight. But if Youve got work for us, or just need a quote, dont be afraid to let us know! :)

06.01.2022 We have another new product available! This is a 3 piece laser etched street map of the general Hobart area, laser cut from structural ply. Total dimensions 800x440mm... Cost price of these maps are $200, but this piece has some minor defects in the ply, as shown in the photos, so well be selling it for $100. Weve spent a while getting the process right for this one, but now that we have a workflow, Well have no problems making these maps for any GPS mapped area of the world. Message us if Youre interested in a custom one :)

06.01.2022 A recent project of ours, It might not look like all too much, but this system will be recycling waste plastics and turning it into 3D printer filament very soon. We love the idea of making Tasmanian made items, but whats even better, is making Tasmanian made items, that are recycled from Tasmanian waste!... If Youre a recycling enthusiast, save Your bottles & containers (wash them if possible) and bring them to Us. :) Well wash and dry them, shred them, and turn the shredded material into filament, to use for projects, products, and more. (Well certainly be doing some giveaways related to this in the future, so stay tuned!) And, a quick Thank you for the continued support from Everyone throughout 2020, its sure been an interesting one!

There are many, many hours of work involved in the making of this, but wed sure love to make some more of them. Message, call or email us for details, a custom quote, or any questions, anytime :)
