24.01.2022 Snake vs Heifers

23.01.2022 It’s a good sign when they are still implanting embryos well into the night. The ladies (on average) had a great day of flushing. Big thanks to Ced & Rowena Wise once again. It’s worth the extra effort to keep multiplying the best of our genetics and continuing to improve.

23.01.2022 Who can relate? Because what else is there to talk about that is more interesting anyway?!?

22.01.2022 What a pleasant surprise to wake up and see that she’s been nominated!!! Thank you!!! She now is owned by Lawson Dunne, who we hope will go on to have great success with her. She certainly is a stunning heifer! Go Team Australia!!!

21.01.2022 We’re here at the Rocky Brangus sale. It’s a full house and the sale is starting off strong! Best wishes to all the vendors and supporters for a great day

15.01.2022 Local beef producers: This is a free information session from Tropical Beef Technology Services that might be of interest. We use EBVs as part of our toolkit and have always provided them to our customers.

14.01.2022 "The Atherton Tableland beef sector is one of the best kept secrets in Australia, but not anymore, Anthony Ball

07.01.2022 We received this message today and are absolutely thrilled for them. Thank you for sharing this kind message, it put a big smile on our faces!

04.01.2022 The new Queen of Brangus! New photo of the top selling female in our sale, lot 101: Telpara Hills Miss Real McCoy 541P92. She sold a half-share for $40,000 to Lunar Brangus, making her value $80,000, a new record for Australian Brangus (and rivaling some of the top prices achieved for a Brangus female worldwide) We didn't feel like her catalogue photo even came close to doing her justice, but thankful that the people who saw her in person appreciated how good she was. To th...ose who placed a bid or watched just in case they got a chance to buy her, we sincerely thank you. She's also a full sister to the top-selling bull of the sale who went to Welcome Downs. We took this snapshot of her in the paddock the day after the sale and think it finally captures just how good she is. This lovely lady has a bright future ahead of her and we can't wait to see the progeny she produces!

04.01.2022 For our area any rain in October is fairly unusual, but very welcome! No substantial numbers in the gauge yet, but we’ll take any little drink nature wants to give this time of year. We hope you’re getting rain at your place!

03.01.2022 A big thanks to Sarah Nicholson from the Tablelander/Cairns Post for highlighting farming women in our community. This is part of a series and describes some of what Brittany does for us here at Telpara Hills

02.01.2022 Trucks heading for Charters Towers and Gracemere were loaded today and the Roma bound truck going tomorrow. It’s always bittersweet seeing great animals leave, but thrilled they are going to their new owners. Thank you to everyone who has used our free freight offer for you patience as we and Elders work through the logistics. ... It’s been a big week for everyone involved including the bulls and females so we are looking forward to hearing how they settle in at their new homes.

02.01.2022 The Brangus breed is growing in Australia and the success of the Rocky ABCA sale was great evidence of that! Here's a few photos Brittany snapped for the Australian Brangus Cattle Association. Congratulations again to all involved and feel free to tag and share.
