09.01.2022 Physical inactivity is a serious problem in Australian children and adolescents. Children should be moving for at least 60 minutes a day, yet less than 23% are undertaking this recommendation. Physical activity offers our children a wide range of important developmental benefits, and when adopted early in life, it also increases the chances of maintaining an active lifestyle into adulthood.... It can also have a significant impact on helping reduce childhood obesity, diabetes and a variety of other chronic diseases. To help inform parents, carers, coaches and teachers, we've developed a NEW eBook: Exercise for Kids! It covers why exercise is important, physical activity guidelines for Aussie children, exercise for a range of conditions, the importance of sport and much more! It's FREE to download: bit.ly/ExerciseforKidsdownload #ExerciseRight
