11.01.2022 We have some amazing creatives telling their stories on our first Heart to Heart Storytelling Night for 2020. Michelle Kinnane studied Fine Arts at COFA and co...mpleted her Dip ED at UNS in the early eighties. After working for a year as an illustrator in North Sydney, Michelle then taught Visual Arts, Drama and Dance in high schools in Sydney, Blue Mountains and Newcastle for the next twenty years. In early 2001 Michelle volunteered her skills to help with the aftermath in East Timor following the Indonesian attack. Contracting Cerebral Malaria while there, she was medevaced back to Australia, finally finding a place to recover in Pearl Beach on the Central Coast. Being confined to bed for almost three years, her creativity took many new directions; her interest in Jungian psychology led her to study courses in Sand Play and dream therapy. The world of archetypes and the unconscious had a huge influence on her visual works which she exhibited in Sydney in 2006. In 2010 she opened an art school, ’The Art Space Pearl Beach, at the same time, beginning her business in Portrait Commissions. Currently working as a Dream Therapist/ Tarot reader and Astrologer a couple of days / week, her latest foray is into the world of acting, something she always loved and studied in her early years.
