24.01.2022 Some double doors that needed replacing. These are pre varnished photos. Used all old hardware as they were still in good condition. These doors in particular have heavier glass for soundproofing due to being near a flight path. This made it more interesting hanging them with the extra weight. This also forces you to be more careful as they aint cheap either. One person can do it easily and neatly using the right techniques.

23.01.2022 If you ever cut something wrong. Just do this...easy

22.01.2022 Before and after. Client wanted a minibar revamp. Enjoyed making this bespoke piece and the client is happy and can now host in style. One of the joys of doing this work is customer satisfaction @ Perth, Western Australia

22.01.2022 Finally got to test out the new makita mitre saw. I chose the corded one over the battery one. No reason for this really only Ive always used corded. And I have a small fear that the cordless might not be up to the heavier job loads. ( but having always used makita Im sure its well up to the job) It worked great for me today and theres not much it cant handle. I have it hooked up to the makita stand and vacuum. This makes for total comfort and less clean up.Anybody use the cordless? Does it preform just as well as the electric?

20.01.2022 Fireplace restoration I got to piece together this fireplace that my clients salvaged. Its just for show and will not be used. Just needs a touch of paint and it completes a nice feature to their living area. I learned along the way with this one so next time I should be able to complete quicker. I love these unique projects as they are all different and make you think. @ Perth, Western Australia

19.01.2022 Barrier for my clients stairs. Wanted something simple as there was a risk from there dog jumping and hurting himself out of absolute pure excitement when the doorbell rang. @ Perth, Western Australia

18.01.2022 Glue day on a little project Im working on. Yes this is on my coffee table. Yes this did not thrill everybody. Yes I used too much glue.... At least its only an ikea coffee table

15.01.2022 For those who were wondering, I was using the trend hinge jig. This is one of the greatest time savers for hanging doors. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. It can literally cut time on the job in half. Set it up and go

14.01.2022 Needed to make some room with this small space. Its already making my working life easier. Not fully finished. More to come.

09.01.2022 Pizza time Putting the new board to the test

08.01.2022 First time fitting one of these electronic dead bolt locks Very easy to put together. Pretty much the same as a normal dead bolt. Which would you trust more though??? And no, that is not the final code. My imagination is better than that

07.01.2022 A quick Saturday morning transformation.

06.01.2022 The convenience from using this small but feisty block plane has given me thirst to upgrade all my hand tools. There is a certain sense of calm when you slide the blade against the timber. You actually get to hear what is happening instead of hearing the motor of a machine doing the work for you. Obviously as a carpenter our power tools are a must have but I also think the tools from the beginning of the craft are just as important.

06.01.2022 Front decking done almost 3 years ago for some friends. This changed the entire look for the front of their home. This was one of many improvements they added.

05.01.2022 Pizza peel I put together. Made with jarrah and tasmanian oak. These are a great seller but for now this one is all mine. I look forward to making more of these as well as some cutting boards. The best part is always the oil, it brings out the hardwood beautifully.
