11.01.2022 We're getting close to summer, and the bees in our garden look busy. Here's one bee still gathering pollen from the sunflower, and the one that has just started flying is fully laden off to the right. A bit hard to see against the light blue and white of the house. Note the pollen on the bee's rear legs. Bees are getting food for the spring, they get their proteins from pollens, and their energy from nectar . . . . We're excited with the upcoming season. If you have a swarm visit or temporarily land in at your place, we're happy to help get a hive for it and give it a home, or help you do the same. If you're keen join the community.
