25.01.2022 Finally made it to the Op Shops today, I didn’t find anything that I went looking for but I did pick up some new books to curl up with and fall head over heels for a table I now need to convince Kieran we need so I can refinish it . Right, I’m off to put the kettle on, douse the chilli I’ve made in sour cream (no spice for me!) and curl up on the sofa to watch Masterchef. Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday!
21.01.2022 Making comfort food with so many leftovers, there’s no space left in the freezer! Also planning on making @alsothecrumbsplease lemon bars tonight to keep myself occupied!
21.01.2022 Chunky cardigans, slippers and homemade tomato soup for a Tuesday.
18.01.2022 Counting down the days until Easter with cold early morning walks followed by tea, blankets and books. I may also consume my body weight in hot cross buns before Sunday. Happy Wednesday from here
15.01.2022 My current obsession of moving to the country, renovating a farmhouse and having chicken, dogs, and a veggie patch is showing zero signs of going away. So I’m reorganising all the spaces I can and you better believe an Op-Shop trip is on my list of weekend activities!
13.01.2022 There’s pot roast and fresh bread in the oven, leftover apple crumble in the fridge, the tiling’s nearly done and we finally have plants by the front door. Now we just need to decide what colour to paint that door. I’m thinking a British Racing Green or Pillarbox Red thoughts?
12.01.2022 It’s been a day full of voting, housework, laundry and renovating here. On the plus side, we have fresh bedding, coving in the hallway and laundry and a (relatively) clean house. Tonight’s plans include takeout, a film and a choice between a great Pinot Noir or pink gin.
07.01.2022 It’s been a rainy, tea filled day in these parts. Which means Kieran’s spent the whole day at home - and I’m not mad about it at all as we now have a new sink unit and vanity in the bathroom! But now it’s time for pasta, wine, and restarting Game of Thrones from the beginning as I never made it past episode 3 the first time round!
05.01.2022 Collecting pine cones and enjoying these chilly mornings. How many days until the Christmas holidays?!
05.01.2022 This may not look like much, but after months of living out of dusty bags and boxes in the garage, it sure is nice to have somewhere to put all our things! And by the end of the weekend, we will have paint and tiles in here!
03.01.2022 And so the renovations continue! Creating a hallway and laundry from nothing isn’t quite as complicated as I thought. Don’t think I’ll be winning Apprentice of the Year anytime soon, but I do make bacon sandwiches, hold up wood and make sure the beer is plentiful!
03.01.2022 I originally totally wigged out about this colour for the door but I’m so glad Kieran talked me back into it because there’s a chance it may now be my favourite door in the whole house!
02.01.2022 So it’s official...I should not be allowed to just have a look in by myself! On the plus side, we now have two new sheet sets, two new quilt sets and six stemless wine glasses
