11.01.2022 The 16s girls have been battling through the 7s super league tournament at Minchinbury the past few weeks - Battling being the word with sprained / broken ankles, concussions and injuries galore!! But they press on! Here they are winning the semi final 10-3 yesterday!... Unfortunately they went down in the grand final to a team that was essentially St Mary’s.

09.01.2022 Over the Coming Weeks, We will look to publicly announce all our Club Award Nominees - prior to the award winners being announced at the 2020 Presentation Day. 2020 has been a tough season for all, but none moreso than for Life Member and all round Legend - Penny "Penpen" Morgan. Penny has had to endure a tough year, having had to overcome health issues at the back end of 2019, the battle continuing today.... Penny Loves the Kellyville Bushrangers - having served as Club Secretary for a number of years from 1999 to 2012. In 2011, Penny and the Bushrangers founded the "Princesses of Rugby League" - an all girls Under 6s team that participated in the Parramatta Junior League. Penny's Tenure also saw the club peak at its highest level of membership with 23 teams. 2011 Saw Penny receive the 2011 Toyota National Volunteer of the Year Award from the NRL for her efforts in raising money & sending volunteers to the remote town of Theodore, QLD for a "Friendly State of Origin" & to offer assistance after the 2011 Floods. Penny Loves her Rugby League (as well as any other sport) - and its only fitting that in 2020 - a Year that saw the Bushrangers win its first Girls Competition Premiership - that we name the Female Player of the Year award after the pioneer of Womens Rugby League at the Bushrangers - The Penny Morgan Female Player of the Year Award.

08.01.2022 Hi all, With regards to this weekend - until the Government changes the rule (fingers crossed!) here is the low down from Parramatta. VENUE ACCESS... There is to be 1 parent per player to attend venues this weekend, while I understand that this is not ideal, this is what the Government health mandates that we must follow. Please do not bring additional family members, siblings, cousins, friends etc as they will be turn away. I advise you all to PLEASE follow the 1 Parent per player rule. PARRA OFFICIALS & SECURITY Each of the following venues, will have a Parramatta Official, 2 security officers and the local club Ground managing. They will advise who can come in and who has to leave, if there are too many people there the games will be stopped until people leave the venue, this is the unfortunate situation we are in with COVID and the restrictions that we have been advised to follow Ringrose Park, CV Kelly Reserve, Merrylands Oval, Old Sale Yard Reserve,

08.01.2022 The Penny Morgan female Player of the Year award is open to any female player within our club -from Under 6s through to Open Womens (When we get there!!!). Founded in 2018, the Trophy has only ever been won by 1 Player, Hayley Bell - who has won it Back to Back in 2018 & 2019! This season, we have 6 VERY worthy Candidates; Charli-Rose Buhagiar - Our Under 16s Girls Captain, Charli has grown as a player, as a person & as a leader in season 2020. Charlis on field performance ha...s grown in confidence throughout the year, and as a consequence has seen her grow into a dominant player in the competition. Caitlin Peadon - A new member to the squad in 2020, Caitlin quickly demonstrated to all who watched what a capable & skillful player she could be. A Talent of the Future! Charlotte Cawthorne - A Very Talented member of the under 16 girls - Charlotte settled into the squad and continued to show excellent ability as the season progressed. Kapiolani Latu - A Pocket rocket from the Under 11s - Lani played up a year in a competition dominated by boys, and proved to be one of the most capable in the division. A Standout amongst all the boys - doesn't hold back and dominates. Cheyenne McDonald - Starting the season late in Season 2020, Cheyenne's skill level saw her rapidly climb to the top of the heap in the Under 12s competition. Raw talent & ability that had not been demonstratedo n the field before - Cheyenne took on every challenge before her, and proved her worth by stepping up to play Under 14s Girls at the age of 12. Ciara Stockham - An absolute powerhouse in the 14s girls, Ciara's experience and leadership saw her take it up a notch in season 2020

08.01.2022 As the 15s got knocked out yesterday - so ends the Bushrangers career of the under 15s Captain, William Walden. William and his Family have been proud Bushrangers since 2011 - and the side has been ably lead by Williams no nonsense approach for the past few seasons. The highlight of Williams time with the Bushrangers would have to be winning the Under 8s premiership (the last remaining player from that team!) and being the captain of the grand finalists in the Under 14s Divi...sion 3 grand final in 2019. A Champion young man on and off the Field, William will be missed by all his playing mates, the coaching staff and the club as a whole!! We wish William, His parents Craig and Nadine and the rest of the Walden family all the best as they embark on then next chapter in their lives!! #alwaysabushranger #proudtobeabushranger
