25.01.2022 Working on the budget with reduced car insurance. I love it when my expenses get lower. Doesn’t happen very often. But I’m happy for this win. . . . #workingonmybudget #budgeting #budget #budgetplanner #excel #spreadsheets #thefinancechick #frugalaussiemum #frugalliving #frugal #insurance #money #financialfreedom #finance #financialliteracy #financialindependence #aussiemum #aussiemumbloggers #financialplanner #financialadvisor #moremoneyinmypocket

23.01.2022 When I first started working for a bank at bright age of 17, the financial planner said that I should put money in super via salary sacrifice to my super. So this meant even as a female earning a less wage than some and taking time off to have kids, my super is worth just as much as my husbands who has at times earned over $100,000. Use either salary sacrifice or post tax contributions to your benefit and add it in your budget. Don’t forget if you earn under $38,564 and cont...ribute $1000 to super the Australian Government will also pay your super $500. See smartmoney.gov.au for more information. Make sure you follow the contributions rules. Please note this is general advice and everyone’s situation is different. . . . #superannuation #frugalaussiemum #financialfreedom #frugalliving #finance #financetips #financetipsforwomen #wealth #money #financiallyfree #financialliteracy #debtfreecommunity #debtfree #debtfreegoals #retirement #retirementplanning #goals #2020goals See more

21.01.2022 $500 for back to school spending. The last 2 years I have done this closer to the end of the year, but I have decided to save for it all year round so it’s not such a large expense leading up to Christmas. So now I add an extra $9.62 every week to help pay for the next years school expenses. Another problem sorted.

18.01.2022 Have you set your money goals? Work out your budget, what can you afford to pay extra off your debt. Get it done done done.

14.01.2022 Got my car insurance bill this week. I wasn’t too concerned about receiving the bill as I saved for the money but I did check that I was getting a good deal. I looked at about 4 different companies and stayed where I was. Checking online is so quick! The only provider that was a pain to get an online quote from was Youi and they were the most expensive. So shop around, you just never know. . .... . #carinsurance #insurance #shoparound #getthebestdeal #frugalaussiemum #frugalliving #frugal #frugalmum #budget #budgeting #budgetmum #budgetmumblog #thefinancechick #finance #money #savemoney See more

07.01.2022 The next lot of posts in the next few weeks are from what we have learnt from our past and probably won’t do again anytime soon. Don’t buy a brand new car. Well we won’t be. We did this once and while we loved the car it wasn’t right for us and we sold it. Luckily we owed less than we sold it for but we decided that it wasn’t a great idea to do that again financially. So we have bought second hand ones ever since.... Buying brand new is such a waste of money, particularly if you have to borrow for it or you aren’t keeping it for the next 10 years. We haven’t owed money on a vehicle for the past 6 years and don’t plan on it for a while. Buying a second hand car will save you money on interest! You also won’t lose the $5,000 to $10,000 as soon as you drive it out the drive way. Vehicle leasing through your work or company is different and there are great advantages to this but I would research and consider it thoroughly and speak to your accountant. What are your new car thoughts? . . . #generaladvice #newcar #newcarfeeling #savemoney #budgeting #budget #frugal #nodebt #frugalliving #financiallyfree #simplemoneysolutions #thefinancechick #debtfreecommunity #debtfreejourney #money #buildwealth #goals #moneygoals2020 #moneygoals

05.01.2022 Donations are an important part of my budget. We donate every month to various organisations. Please consider donating to @redcrossau @salvosau or the Rural Fire Service (RFS) in any state in Australia. They all need our support.

03.01.2022 This is so important. Don’t waste money on unimportant things. Having money and saving it is hard work but put in the effort when you are young and it will help you your whole life. Budget and save. Know where your money is going. Be mindful and minimalistic. Make goals and work out how to get there. ... . . . #money #budgeting #budget #frugalaussiemum #debtfreeaustralians #familybudget #aussiemum #mindfulmoney #savemoney #buildwealth #fire #debtfreecommunity #frugalliving #financiallyfree #minimalism #debtfreefundamentals See more

03.01.2022 For those who have a credit card debt... cut it up and pay it off It took me a long time to get to the point where I could pay my credit card off monthly. My budget helps me achieve that as all my spending is saved and accounted for.
