19.01.2022 Not a bad roll up at the Tavern last night. Band had a ball. So many people there early on that Kon decided to dim the house lights and get out his tea light candles to create some 'ambience' [or 'ambulance' as someone mumbled]. Was fun stumbling around in the dark at the Tavern!

09.01.2022 Franklin Tavern Friday Night. Expect the unexpected.

09.01.2022 Great night last night at the Tavern. Not many locals there but a good few out-of-towners and people 'just passing through' who stayed all night. Lots of dancing, and even a lady singing along with the band for one number. Speaking of which: The rhythm section [Noel and Paul] is getting very tight I must say. And no I don't mean they were pissed.

09.01.2022 Great night at the Tavern. Thank you to the ladies - especially the ones from Hobart - who danced sang and played lots of percussion with the band. Good fun, great people - and the band had a ball. Well done.

07.01.2022 Another good night at the Tavern. A few stragglers turned up after the 'Container Opening' at Village Antiques. And they turned already, umm, .....'primed' shall we say. And it only got worse [better] from then on. Band was its usual 'interesting' self and the fact Celia had to drive some patrons home in her little bus indicates what kind of an evening was had. ... Well done everyone. [even Kon was left smiling at the end of the night - a rarity in itself!]

04.01.2022 We just had a great night at the weekly 'Odgy Night' [don't ask] tonight. Couple of tourists from the Dandenongs telling good jokes and a few of the more odd locals there. Good company, good fun. Just when you start to worry Franklin is becoming a little beige, the characters pop out again lol

04.01.2022 Another good night at the Tavern last night. Good to see some of our new regulars turn up. Band had fun and a special thanks to Paul Svenson for driving up to Newtown and back to pick up our bass player Noel, and to Kon for driving him back this morning. Dedication to the cause indeed. I really appreciate how keen these guys are to play. And it was worth it!

But although the ball was a ball and we all had a ball [what?] tonight the tavern is where it's at. Or it might be. Well you won't know if you don't come on down. ...
