Brisbane artist Sandra hunkered down during lockdown this year and used her 'little studio as a place to dream big and try to bump out some of the sadness soaking through the world'. The result is a gorgeously colourful body of work with an appealing simplicity and frankness. Her technique of layering then sanding back the paint creates amazing textures.... Nathan is a self-taught artist from the mid-north coast of NSW, and by his own description, has had a troubled past. Art has been a key factor in his recovery from drug addiction. His unique multi-media pieces can be raw and confront your senses. Some of Nathan’s work is ironic and delivers strong social and political messages. Ot...her works reflect on childhood memories and convey a palatable sense of playfulness and optimism. It is this dichotomy in themes, imagery and messaging that makes Nathan such a unique and interesting emerging Australian artist.
