23.01.2022 @brookevulinovich & @lalaforbusiness nailed it! They took to insta stories their concerns on a particular topic which I can relate too.. I get asked for free advice all the time on how to make dog walking a full time job, what insurance to get, how much to charge people etc etc. ... I have spent thousands of over the past 10 years to make my business thrive, because after all that's what successful entrepreneurs do. Creating my own business from scratch has been challenging but I strive for this feeling. It's so much fun. I get to be creative, I get to learn, I get to educate, network & have epic clients! I still continue to invest my money to make this business the very best out there. That's why I now offer 1:1 business coaching on how to make a dog walking business thrive. I love helping other aspiring dog walkers & I want to give the best advice surviving this industry! 23.01.2022 Did you know feeding native birds can alter natural behaviour and harm their health? It creates an unhealthy dependence on humans and the food is often not suit...ed to their physiology. Additionally, it can draw birds into unsafe areas where they may be predated on. Feeding native birds without a licence is now an offence under the new Biodiversity Conservation Act. Feeding commercially available bird seed can also spread weeds and may be a blend that isnt suitable to native birds. Instead, you can play your part by having native plants and shrubs in your garden, so birds have access to natural food sources. 22.01.2022 People think all I do is walk dogs & thats it! Does this sentence stump you? Being a petprenuer or any type of business owner there are a lot of hours behind the scenes that you dont see. I thrive off running this as a business. I love the challenges, attending workshops, social media courses, setting an example for other dog walkers & hiring the right type of people to up hold my brand & vision.... 10 years on, I still get people asking me if its a full time job & do you I get paid enough to live. Im grateful that I get paid to do something I love..I would still do it for free if I could & I wish I could walk every dog in every household! Do people ask you if your job is a "real" job?

19.01.2022 Let me be honest..Owning and running 2 businesses that Im soooo passionate about can wear me down. Im certainly not complaining about them one bit.. but those 4 days I had off wasnt enough.. I actually came back pretty run down You may think owning a dog walking business would be easy to run..but here is an insight of what I actually do: ... Replying to potential new clients to see if I can fit them in, if not who can I recommend them on to, scheduling rosters for 3 team members, making sure the driving routes run smoothly between each dog, making sure dog collars/leads/harnesses are secure, making sure the owners house is secure each time we leave, meet and greets, invoicing, chasing up payments, social media, getting back to clients as promptly as possible, driving safely with precious cargo on board (yes those cute doggos I am talking about!), paying bills as soon as they come in, washing all my hairy clothes after a days work..and thats just some of it! My wellness business - reading upon reading upon reading about how many toxic chemicals people are consuming each day, interacting with team members on how to use their products to the best of their ability, whats good to use on pets, children, themselves, social media content (which Ive been very slack on), website and content creation..again, thats just some of it. Im craving a week off next time. Even if its just time at home.. do you sometimes get caught up wearing yourself too thin? On another note..how good is this view from inside the campervan!!

17.01.2022 The Pack Is Back These little ones were super eager to get to the park today! Since covid, the enclosed doggy parks have been closed ... Today we took out six of the Friday bunch for THE best run around & zoomies anyone could watch! Its so important to keep your dogs socialisation skills at its best by exposing them to different sized dogs & breeds So thank you Perth for following the distancing rules so we can enjoy all our lovely surrounds again with everything slowly opening back up again @ Jandakot Off-Leash Dog Park
