23.01.2022 Oh my gosh! I had a cup of tea with a friend today for the first time in over 2 months! I was childless, the tea was hot, it was my fave local Cafe and we chatted uninterrupted! It was so needed! Our restrictions have eased here now but I am still wary so we sat outside wore our masks and kept our distance but still it was so good! Ahhh the sereniTEA

22.01.2022 L A V E N D E R | You asked for it and we have delivered! Our new Frenchie blend (coming soon) is full of gorgeous looking, smelling and tasting organic lavender. Lavender is not only great for scenting your knickers draw ladies (a tip I learnt from my dear grandma) but it is heavenly in a cup of tea. As well as the floral taste it adds to the tea itself, the actual aromatics that are released when the boiling water hits the lavender, well that is where it's at! In fact, one ...study in Taiwan in 2015 actually found that sleep deprived mothers who took time to smell their lavender tea while drinking it, compared to those who just sculled it down, reported less fatigue and depression. Now why wasn’t I invited to be in that study!!! We have all heard of using lavender to aid in sleep in the evenings but this study suggests that the use of lavender in your morning brew may actually help calm depression and anxiety throughout the day as well. Lavender oil has also been shown to help sooth menstrual cramps and promote healthy skin through its antimicrobial properties. And there are old wives tales that talk about farmers putting lavender under their hats to avoid headaches from sunstroke. There is suggestion that the aroma you get from a cup of lavender tea may have similar benefits. But what about the effects of drinking the actual tea? Lavender tea has also been said (anecdotally) to be consumed to aid in gastrointestinal disturbances such as vomiting, diarrhoea and the toots. There’s no wonder our grannies love this super flower so much! Like all herbal teas however please consult your healthcare professional if you're growing a small human, feeding a small human or otherwise bothered by any health concerns or medications.

20.01.2022 G I N G E R ! Fantastic in a biscuit, but have you had it in tea? It can be subtle or really pack a punch and I love it both ways. Ginger has also been used for many years to help relieve many ailments. Some include Nausea, heartburn, headaches and inflamation. Some evidence has also shown that ginger tea can help control blood sugar levels, boost immunity and promote good heart health.... I love ginger in tea and currently have a subtle ginger flavour in our Jasmine tea but I've been working on brining you 2 new blends with more of that ginger kick so stay tunned!

18.01.2022 Ice ice(tea) baby! Here's how to make your summer ice tea drinks even easier with an easy and convenient ice tea concentrate! Plus it's super healthy with no added sugar! I used our That Tea Company Ginger tea so this one tastes like a fruity ginger beer if you add it to soda water! No sugar and you're getting the benefits of ginger and hibiscus! Yes please!!!!

17.01.2022 Did someone say toffee banana tarte tatin? I may have been watching @nadiyajhussain Time to Eat yesterday arvo and she made this gorgeous dessert! And low and behold I had bananas that needed eating and puff pastry in the freezer.... What was one to do??? It was so quick and simple, will definitely make again!

17.01.2022 How do you fill your school holiday? Last week the girls and I went on an adventure up the Victorian high country. It rained, we got wet, both girls got stuck in mud puddles but we had tonnes of fun! And we found wild mint growing on the river bank, I contemplated brewing it up but while it smelt and looked like mint, it didn't taste very minty haha

Introducing That Tea Company, formally The High Tea Benefit Tea shop this little baby of mine has graduated from being the little side hustle to the bigger events company to now being her own biz with her own name I am super excited to finally share this change with y...ou all but I can't just change her name and leave it at that! There are some super exciting things happening in the next few weeks for That Tea Company a brand new website (live now so go check it out!) plus new accessories and blends all dropping very soon! So to kick it all off and officially relaunch our sparkling new brand we are throwing a massive week long re-launch party! Starting this coming Friday for an entire week filled with fun! See more

13.01.2022 Hey my tea loving tribe! There's a bit of juicy news coming your way, but first it’s been a minute since I introduced myself and there are so many new faces here! I’m Jayde and I am the founder & tea maker here at The High Tea Benefit. This is me here on my wedding day 10 years ago today! Say Whaaaaat! 10 Years on I have two beautiful little girls and a squishy old pugalier and a feisty 1 year old cat who attacks your feet in the middle of the night!... My fave form of self care is hot cup of tea! I try to have a HOT cup every single day, but you know toddler life I am obsessed with watching shows about cooking and I am currently reading a book about a global pandemic (totally trippy!) So that’s a bit about me. Now to the big news, I've been making tea now for a few months and you tea lovers out there have been loving it. So much so that it was time to mix things up a little and make some changes. I am not going to reveal everything just yet, but what I will say there are some new products coming, a new BRAND NAME (told you the news was juicy) and some other little fun things like a new rewards program. So bear with me over the next few weeks as we start to roll out these changes, you might notice a few things have already changed (sneaky sneaky). But we will announce things as we go and we are going to have a big celebration in about a week, so make sure you stay tunned! What do you think might be coming?

07.01.2022 Sunday afternoon feels! Who doesn't love a cup on tea on a Sunday arvo? I'll be switching off for a few days for the start of the school holidays to spend some quality time with my girls and get out amongst nature after a very looooooong term of home learning.
