05.01.2022 A painting by my wonderful and talented cousin @kathrynthomasoops Confession time - I’ve been numbing out lately, and I didn’t know why. But after revisiting some classic #vulnerability talks by @brenebrown I think I’m on its tail. Things have been so seemingly splendid - I’ve been doing my #lomilomimassage again, ramping up my #coaching, and getting into #Pilates. So awesome right? Actua...lly, scary! Starting @theoneforyoubne and putting myself in the #briarpatch has been a natural part of the process, but has also been making me feel rather vulnerable and uncomfortable. Old demons come out of the shadows telling me I’m not ready yet, I don’t know enough, people won’t like me... and I’ve been quietening them with cookies and ice cream. I’m not proud, but it’s the truth. This painting evokes a sense of vulnerability to me. I wonder how @kathrynthomasoops felt painting it? Joy? Sadness? Hope? Tenderness?
