24.01.2022 I don't really make long rant-esque posts as much as I used to, and thats okay. This is more of a public service announcement. ---------------------- Lets be ...honest; 2020 was INSANE. 1.) We had murder-hornets. 2.) We had a modern 'plague'. 3.) We had national tragedies. 4.) We had ups. 5.) We had downs. From my personal perspective: 2020 was a year of preparation. We were quarantined in our homes away from friends, family, other loved ones, co workers, school, even our jobs at some point. And thats okay. It probably (and hopefully) gave a lot of people time to think on what is important, on what matters, on what is/was/will/could be. Now, in 2021, more than ever, should be a time for us to come together and make peace with this. There are still people rioting, there are still people acting a fool. Yet there are still much much bigger fish to fry. Why can't we all just get along? Why can't we project kindness onto one another, and most importantly, why can't we project that back into ourselves? "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR." "THE TIME IS ALWAYS RIGHT TO SO WHAT IS RIGHT." "PEACE ON EARTH." These things start with you. So I am asking you, to please, please, please BE THERE FOR OTHERS AND FOR YOURSELF. We all have experienced something positive or negative this past year, and we should have someone to lean on or be that someone for another in these trying times. I know I have my person and she has me. I know yall have your person and that person knows they have you. Do not let what is happening in the media, or your neighborhood, or country/state rain on your sunshine. Rise above it. Be better, not than that of others, but of who you were when these things started happening. It is and will be worth it. I promise. In dark times, in struggles, at the bottom of a hole where up seems too far away; GOD WILL BE THERE FOR YOU, AND SO SHALL YOUR FELLOW MAN/WOMAN. You just gotta look for em, and put beside that pesky pride and ask for that help. Ask for that support. God will never turn you down or turn you away. Reflect the same onto others and you'd be surprised at what miracles He will provide for you. Dear Heavenly Father, on this day and every one after, the same as this night and those after; be there for us. For everyone struggling. Even those who don't believe in your word, all of those alive and breathing, and even those who have are on their way home to you. I pray that you fill the homes of every single family for comfort, support, and to be the One who they can lean on in these times. Be there for us, Father. Guide us to your healing light, grant us the strength to overcome. Grant us the wisdom to know how to follow the path you've set out for us. Grant us the serenity to accept what has happened and will happen, to change the things we can and to accept the things we cannot change; grant us the wisdom to know the difference. I believe in you Lord, as much as you believe in us. And I trust you with every fiber of my being to get us through another year. I thank you, Lord, for everything you do, have done, and will continue to do for my family, my friends, coworkers, loved ones, and every single person living and those not. You are appreciated more than you know. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen
