15.01.2022 Yesterday The Gov played host to hundreds of amazing and generous people at the Pinery Bushfire Relief Appeal Concert. And we just made the deposit to charity. ...With $700 coming from the BBQ, over $2,500 from raffle tickets sold and general donations, plus a whopping $4,500 from The Govs bar donation, the total amount to be donated to the State Emergency Relief Fund Pinery Appeal will be $12,909.45. A very special mention goes to the crew from Owen who came down especially for the show. Even though one of their buses broke down on the way, nothing was going to stop them from making it! This event was created through overwhelming kindness and charity and weve been guilty of forgetting some of the names involved so far, such was the breadth of support received. But well give it one more go now; if you dont appear, you know who you are and we cannot say thank you enough for being involved: The Satellites, Satisfaction, The Silhouettes, Kelly Breuer, Adelaide Ukulele Appreciation Society, Ciaram Granger, UK Blitz, Prospect Village Meats, Tynte St Quality Meats, Welland Plaza Meats, Romeos Foodland North Adelaide, Leonard Cohen MC, Teagan Birchmore and her family, Sue &Orianthi Panagaris, Options Wine Merchants, Lion Nathan, our door staff Sarah Mooney and Toyah Newman, our sound tech Andy Walters, Coca Cola, A1 Pro Percussion, Mad Promo, Arte Graphica, Fran Botha for the poster design, Noble Events, Gravy Train Promotions, B Side Magazine, ABC 891, Power FM, Radio Adelaide, South Plympton Bakery, 3D Radio, D and S Quality Meats, The Hilltop Hoods, Copy World, Channel 7, The Sunday Mail and everyone else who we have lost in the master in-pile of people who responded to the call out.
