25.01.2022 It's on its way out to you guys! Can't wait for everyone to try this month's delicious coffee from @expatroasters. by Expat. Roasters... "Expat. Roasters Australia has been non-stop gearing up for our exciting collaboration with @3000thieves ! Over 5000 bags of our coffee will be sent this week to their subscribers! We can’t wait to hear what you all think about it!"

24.01.2022 Stella Coffee is on its way to you right now! We're obsessed with both roasts from the legendary Tim Varney and his very first coffee brand. He really knocked it out of the park with these two! We also LOVE the message behind @stellacoffee_. It's all about nostalgia... Right now, we’re experiencing some pretty incredible challenges. With this has come an opportunity for pause and reflection. Pondering simpler times. Perhaps daydreaming about what we wish we could be doing right now. But, we’re also realising how grateful we are for what we have, and appreciating the simple pleasures, like coffee.

23.01.2022 It's coming your way! This month's featured roaster, Rumble Coffee Roasters, is sent out! We can't wait for you to try their fantastic coffee. Read all about each roast below! Marlon is this month's filter roast. It’s named after Marlon Del Valle, the son of the Del Valle family who has been tending to his family's coffee crops for over 25 years. Look for bright, juicy notes of lime and grapefruit with a solid milk chocolate finish. Introducing the mother of all espre...sso roasts: Maria. This roast, unsurprisingly, is named after Marlon’s mother Maria. Maria passed on the ownership of the farm to her sons Marlon and Rudelfi - but still gets her hands dirty and works on the land to this day. This coffee is clean and bold with a brilliant orange/apple acidity and long, soft plum finish. If you've received your coffee let us know what you think below! We're absolutely in love with both of these. Awesome job Rumble!

22.01.2022 That's right! This Thursday night (starting at 6pm) our favourite coffee expert, @lewislikescoffee, will be chatting with coffee legend Tim Varney of stellacoffee_ via IG Live. We can hardly contain our excitement for this one! After a month of drinking Stellas fantastic roasts we can't wait for Lewis to ask Tim all the burning questions that've been brewing up inside us coffee nerds!!!

21.01.2022 We're so excited about drinking some delicious Expat. Roasters brew all month long. Their coffee's always fantastic but their story is just as good. While Bali is homebase for Expat and founder Shae, the business has always intended to expand and build accessibility to great coffee all around the world. When Shae came over to Sydney to visit family and friends he didn’t predict that he’d be stuck in his home country for a year thanks to COVID. Looking at the bright side, Shae decided this would be the perfect time to launch Expat Roasters Australia. Launching in Australia will also help support his community back home in Bali which doesn’t have the resources that we do to cope with COVID.

20.01.2022 It's Father's Day this weekend! Let's face it... most of us can't take our Dad out so why not spoil him rotten with an EPIC coffee gift pack by yours truly. We have a few amazing options paired with this months featured roast who we'll be announcing SO SOON!!! Head to our website to check out our different gift options or buy him something special from our online shop. We got you covered.

18.01.2022 Times are bloody tough at the moment and most of us are making our coffee at home instead of going out to cafes. Now's the time to experiment with different brewing methods and roasts (we got ya there )! How are you guys brewing your #theives coffee? Are you experimenting? Sticking to your favourite method?

18.01.2022 Okay... now onto Stella Coffees espresso roast, Gran Galope! You can expect apple, caramel, red berries, and a rich toffee sweetness with this one! A buttery body and lingering, balanced finish as well. Gran Galope is part of Cafe Import’s ‘Regional Select Program’ and was created to highlight the unique profiles that are inherent to specific microregions within Colombia. The region in this case is Pitalito, Huila. During the harvest season, growers from within the Pitalito... communities have their coffees cupped and scored for potential inclusion in a Regional Select. A Regional Select is a coffee that scores between 8486 points and displays characteristics indicative of its growing region. Just like growing regions in wine that drive a wine’s style, coffee regions have a similar influence in the coffee’s style. Topography, sun, altitude, soil, and rainfall all contribute to the end result. Huila is framed by the Central and Eastern ranges of the Andes, with most of it sitting in the beautiful Magdalena Valley. This provides great variation in climate, with temperatures on farms varying from 17C to 23C. They also benefit from the nitrogen-rich volcanic soil. Typically coffees from Pitalito boast complexity and intensity of flavour, making this coffee perfect for espresso. #colombiancoffee #coffeeathome #espresso #melbourneroast

18.01.2022 Mannnnn we're loving this month's coffee by Expat. Roasters! Awesome job gang. Shae and Expat have been kicking heaps of goals this year. Shae plans to expand Expat into many Indonesian cities and in 2020 launched Expat. Roasters Australia where he is sourcing and roasting locally in Sydney and wholesaling across the country. While we're excited about all of their future plans, we love taking a look at where it all started, here in Bali! During COVID Shae also found a way to support his local community in Indonesia. What a legend.

18.01.2022 There really isn't anything better than that first cup of coffee on a Monday morning. Am I right? We're drinking Stella Coffee's filter roast via Moccamaster over here!

14.01.2022 IT'S HERE. Introducing our EPIC September feature... Stella Coffee. Stella is the brainchild of coffee stalwart Tim Varney. Through responsibly sourced coffee, Varney’s mission is to bring about a little jolt of nostalgia in our lives - and to celebrate the joy that comes with a good solid cup of joe. Especially during these difficult times. We have to say.... we're super excited about this one!

13.01.2022 LOVE this photo by @thereal.joncoffee of this month's Stella Coffee. #NationalCoffeeDay I'm sipping some STELLA. A washed ethiopian from @threethousand subscription. Did 25g/385g with a finer grind than normal. Getting more sweetness and tons of juice. Whats in yalls cup?

11.01.2022 Are we all loving this month's feature roasts by Stella Coffee?! We sure are! Let's take a look at Stella's filter roast using beans from Ethiopia, Tega & Tula! You can expect candied fruit, ripe nectarine with a soft, creamy mouthfeel with this one. Clean aromatics supported by soft caramel sweetness with a luscious finish. Yummmmmm. Interestingly, the farm where Tega & Tula's from, was founded by Ahadu Woubshet, a former COO of the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange. Woubshet w...as interested in a more first-hand experience with coffee and an opportunity to focus on quality coffee production through organic farming practises, which is much better for the people working the crop and the environment involved. Ahadu renovated existing farmland and has nearly 400 hectares planted with coffee, being careful to keep lots separated by variety and particular location and topographical conditions. Over the past few years, he has invested in better drying techniques and technology, as well as training and paying his pickers considerably better than the local average. These investments lead to longtime relationships with the employees who staff Tega & Tula and just so happen to be Ahadu’s neighbours.

10.01.2022 Ooooo this month's Rumble Coffee is looking and tasting GREAT! We love this photo by @coffeecal. He describes it as "tasting clean with a very sweet chocolate note," brewed with his V60.

03.01.2022 November is here and we have some delicious coffee heading your way. We're excited to announce our November Featured Roaster ... Expat. Roasters! Get ready to experience some seriously interesting flavours this month. Bali based Expat. Roasters have expanded their roasting operation to Australia in 2020, bringing their brilliant eye for blended roasts with them, and we’re here for it. Expat.’s story is a special one. Founder and award winning roaster Shae Macnamara is orig...inally from Sydney but decided to make Indonesia Expat.’s homebase. Shae and Expat.’s story began in 2016 when he fell in love with Balinese culture. Shae admired how people in Indonesia prioritised community over work. This inspired him to create a business where he can work closely and respectfully with the Balinese community made up of talented farmers, baristas, roasters, and hospitality workers. Expat. was on a mission to introduce coffee culture to Bali as well as share this beautiful yet unconventional coffee region with the world. Thank you so much to Expat. for the awesome video footage! You have us drooling already.

02.01.2022 AWESOME of this month's Rumble Coffee Roasters by coffee fanatic @sebenzacoffee over on IG. It's been an amazing October drinking their fantastic brews. Thanks a million Rumble for putting out two epic varieties. We've been enjoying them all month long. "Super juicy Guatemalan arrived this morning and its Rumble Coffee Roasters. Brewing with LiLi Dripper and ended up with the "Tulipa vol 2" by Nordic Coffee. Grapefruit and bergamotish, with hint of jasmine and milk chocolate ending." Yummmmmm.

01.01.2022 Thank you SOOOOO much Time Out Melbourne for featuring us as one of Melbourne's top subscriptions services! "When it comes to caffeine we are often creatures of habit, but sometimes it’s nice to discover a new favourite." Well put guys! We couldn't agree with you more!

01.01.2022 Happy Monday gang! How many coffees deep is everyone? Just curious.

01.01.2022 IT’S HERE. We’re excited to announce our October featured roaster Rumble Coffee! Rumble Coffee Roasters HQ is in a renovated warehouse in Melbourne’s inner-west suburb of Kensington. The team travels the world, searching for the best farmers, before returning home to roast the beautiful beans they’ve sourced from hardworking coffee farmers. This month Rumble’s beans of choice hail from a passionate coffee farmer in Guatemala, in the Huehuetenango region. Guatemala has a lot... to be proud of with its Mayan ruins, diverse landscape, colourful culture, and being a world class coffee origin. There are a few perfect coffee-growing spots in this Central American country. Huehuetenango, located in the northern highlands known for its striking mountain scenery, is the one Rumble was drawn to for this months featured roast. We love Rumble Coffee for so many reasons. The main one being they stand by a strict no-BS policy. Rumble’s extremely transparent about how their farmers and the local community are treated. It’s apparent that their relationship with their coffee farmers, including this months farmer Marlon del Valle and his family from Guatemala, is quite special.
