25.01.2022 Our Pyrmont children have had the opportunity to explore dinosaurs in their small world play. This is where our children use their imagination and creativity manipulating the dinosaurs around. We practiced different dinosaur names and had discussions about what they might eat.

23.01.2022 Our Thrive Coniston Preschoolers decorating denim jeans for Jeans for Genes day. A wonderful opportunity for us to discuss how we all have different genes and that is why we all look different. Our Preschoolers discussed that no matter how we look, we are the same on the inside and that we can always care for one another. Not only did we build our empathy skills we practiced our fine motor skills by cutting and gluing.



21.01.2022 As part of NAIDOC Week 2020 our North Ryde Preschoolers have focused on a Recycling Arts Exhibition which celebrates both their commitment to sustainability and celebrates their learning of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

20.01.2022 Daffodil Day raises funds for vital research, education programs and support services for all Australians affected by cancer. This year our Merrylands Nursery children participated Daffodil inspired activities focused on building fine motor skills including making yellow play dough, and decorating delicious Daffodil biscuits!



19.01.2022 Our Pyrmont Preschoolers have been learning about the Winter season. Exploring their interest further they created sensory bottles and completed winer themed puzzles.

18.01.2022 Engaging in meaningful experiences is our educational driver here at Thrive Early Learning Centres. Some of our friends noticed our succulents looking dry and asked to water the plants. Each taking turns they shared the spray bottle to care for their much loved plants.

17.01.2022 Our Preschoolers really engaged in recycling activities this week. To see them exercising their imaginations in such different ways was amazing to observe.

16.01.2022 Fathers Day 2020 at Thrive Coniston. In Early Learners we created handprinted cars, developing the children's sensory skills, colour recognition skills and fine motor skills learning to paint with a paintbrush. In Nursery One the children created their own shirt, with a photo of themselves, as they spread the paint onto the card, using their hands and getting messy throughout the process. ... In Preschool Two the children made a variety of art works and Dad inspired questionnaires.

16.01.2022 During NAIDOC Week, the children were given opportunities to explore indigenous culture, including aboriginal art symbols through stories and open-ended play materials. Using bark, stones twigs and playdough, the children were encouraged to explore their understanding of these symbols.

15.01.2022 Thrive Merrylands Preschoolers are exploring a reoccurring theme "painting what we see". Today they used watercolours to practice colour recognition from the photo to their own painting!

09.01.2022 Our Pyrmont Preschoolers have been exploring sight words as part of their School Readiness Program. The children began by sorting through words, then selecting a word of their choice and building that word by connecting the appropriate letters together.

05.01.2022 To our Thrive community, We wanted to share with you the wonderful work of our Thrive Merrylands team who have been collecting bread tags with the help of our families and staff to donate them to Aussie Bread Tags for Wheelchairs, a company that uses bread tags to create wheelchairs. In order to create 1 wheel chair we need 300 breed tags, this afternoon Miss Serena and Miss Alesha sat down and counted our collection of bread tags and we are so excited to announce that we have enough for 7 wheelchairs! We will continue collecting bread tags until the end of 2020.
