25.01.2022 Big win against second place Bay Power today. That's 13 in a row. More details tomorrow.
25.01.2022 Big win today against Shamrocks who were running third on the table. Won the toss and elected to bat and this is where the destruction began. Tyler and Freddo destroyed the Shammies attack putting on a massive 155 run opening partnership in only 28 overs. Freddo (73) was the first to go while trying to pick up the pace. Cody came out and smashed a quick 29 runs but it was Tyler who hung around to the end and hit a well deserved 100 not out to steer us to a total of 222 runs. ...Bowlers then took the field and after a solid start from Shammies, Corey (2/22) claimed the first wicket before the ever reliable Vyv (2/10) chimed in with 2 wickets and then the rot set in. Rhino (4/22) came on and after a slow start had wickets falling at regular intervals. With runouts and great catching we bowled Shammies out for only 108 runs. Tinana win by 114 runs. Great effort fellas!! See more

21.01.2022 Tinana are through to our first 40 over grand final in 12 years with a comprehensive victory over the second placed Bay Power. After the overnight rain, the boys were eager to bowl first on a pitch that would surely be difficult to bat on. And with the assistance of the overhead conditions our bowlers were outstanding once again. Corey Mellor (1/2 off 4 overs), Shaun Goldenstein (0/18 off 5), Vyv Reinikka (2/13 off 5), Chas Copas (2/13 off 5) and Damien Hinchliff (1/6 off 1....2 overs) bowled Bay Power out for 47 runs in the 21st over. The tight bowling was also complemented by a fantastic fielding effort with all the boys not giving an inch and keeping the pressure high. Opening batsmen Tyler Simpson (21*) and Tristan Finn (17*) then made light work of the small total, finishing the job in the 9th over. The win means a week off and a well earned rest for Tinana as we wait to see who our Grand Final opponents will be. Congratulations boys!

15.01.2022 Played Shamrocks in the Semi yesterday with Shammies winning the toss an electing to bat. A couple of early wickets and tight bowling from Corey 2 for 6, Hinchy 1 for 16 and Trent 1 for 9 kept the total under control but at 2 for 66 in the 13th over Shamrocks had a launching pad. That was until Shaun Goldenstein came on and took a beautiful Hatrick knocking stumps flying on three occassions. Shammies never recovered and only made 86 runs. Time to bat and again it was Tyler w...ho destroyed the bowling attack with a brutal 42 n.o. Shaun 12 runs and Tristan 11 n.o. bringing home the win in the 13th over and putting us into the Grand Final. Grand Final against Bay Power and we win the toss and elect to bowl. Again there was some tight opening bowling from Corey 1 for 9 and Hinchy 1 for 7 taking wickets and keeping the runs down. Finny then came on and took 3 for 18 and Trent 2 for 28. Special mention goes to Stumpy who jagged the last wicket to fall, no doubt we'll be hearing about it for a while. Bay Power all out for 94 runs. Run chase begins and again we get off to a flyer with Tyler 31 and Cody 4 putting on a quickfire 43 runs before Cody was out. Finny comes out and makes 22 before getting out when scores are level and then Wally 14 n.o. and Hinchy 4 n.o. see us reach the total in the 17th over. Great effort fellas!! Big thanks to Rob our scorer and all our supporters. Cheers!
15.01.2022 Our turn for spins tonight guys so come on out to the Cricket Club and support Tinana. See you at the Crickety.
15.01.2022 The boys lost the toss today and had to field first. In scoring heat and with only ten players on the field we chased a bit of leather with Shamrocks scoring a respectable 3 for 223. Wickets went to Hinchy and Trent plus another runout from Tyler. Tinana then batted with Trent and Freddo blasting their way to 117 in a great opening stand before Freddo was caught at mid-on (somehow). Tyler came and went for a golden duck and things started to get a bit tight with Trent going... for a hard fought 48 runs and Vyv going for 10 runs. Cody and Matt Bailey got us to 202 before Cody nicked one to the keeper for 29. But then the Matt show started with Matt Bailey and Matt Neilsen getting us to the target with 5 overs to spare. Congratulations to Matt Bailey who scored his first half century smashing 9 boundaries and 1 towering six to finish not out on 57. Matt Neilsen provided great support to help get us the win. Congratulations fellas! See more
14.01.2022 Another dominant display from the Tinana boys in a Semi Final practice match of sorts against the 2nd placed Bay Power, saw us cruise to our 13th win in a row. Tinana opened the batting on a pitch that proved a little inconsistent. A horrible start from our top order had us reeling at 3/29 at the start of the 7th over. The Bay Power boys were feeling good until a 4th wicket partnership of 120 between Vyv Reinikka (63), and stand in captain for the day Cody Goldenstein (62) p...ushed the total up to 149 with 9 overs to go. A few wickets fell in the latter stages of the innings in an attempt to score quick runs, however we still managed to post a respectable 8-186. Tinana then went out to field with a relatively under strength bowling line up, with Bay Power knowing they have the ability to chase big scores. However, once again our bowlers were outstanding. Chas Copas stood up to take the new ball ending with figures of 1-12 off 5 overs while fellow opener Shaun Goldenstein chimed in with 2-21 off 5 overs. However the stand out once again was Vyv Reinikka who took 5-13 off 5.2 overs, completely taking the game away from Bay Power who finished all out for 95 in the 21st over. Tinana finishing with a compressive 91 run win. Our attention now turns to next week’s Semi Final against the same Bay Power outfit on field 1 in Maryborough. Tinana have an opportunity to make its first 40 over Grand Final appearance since 2007. So come on down and show your support, win or lose we promise it will be great viewing.
14.01.2022 Its our turn for spins again guys, so come on out to the Cricket Club this Friday night and help support Tinana. See you at The Crickety!
14.01.2022 For the first time this season, Tinana took to field 1 to take on the last placed Cavnish. After winning the toss and electing to field, our bowling attack once again showed why they are the best in the competition. A-grade recruit Mitch Wadsworth (1-10 off 8 overs), Corey Mellor (1-29 off 7), Vyv Reinikka (1-29 off 8) Cody Goldenstein (1-24 off 5) and Matt Bailey (1-18 off 5) all bowled great spells and shared the wickets around. While only taking the 5 wickets, Cavnish were... still restricted to only 153 runs from their 40 overs. The attention then turned to the batsmen. An opening stand of 79 from Tyler Simpson (45) and Nick Bennetts (38) had the run chase set up perfectly. A quick fire cameo from Daryll Stumbras (21) saw the score 2-99 at the midway point of the innings. Vyv Reinikka was then able to finish the match off in the 29th over with a well constructed 25*, handing Tinana another bonus point win. Make sure to tune in to Win News tomorrow night as the boys will be making an appearance. See more
13.01.2022 Back to the 40 over game today and we destroyed Craignish with a 103 run win and grabbed another bonus point. We are now 7 points in front of second place. Corey finally won a toss and we batted first with Tyler in the runs again with 33 but the old brigade stepped up today with Vyv and Freddo both hitting 43 runs. The big hitting Shaun Goldy smashed a quickfire 29 helping us reach a total of 212 runs. On come our bowlers with Corey (2 for 23) grabbing early wickets and not g...oing for many. Hinchy the destroyer chimes in with an easy (4 for 10) and a wicket each to Goldy and Vyv finish Craignish in the 35th. Great effort from all the boys today and congrats to Tyler who finally overtook his old man with runs on Mycricket. See more
13.01.2022 A somewhat anticlimactic end to the season saw Tinana take home our first Reserve Grade premiership since 2005. The game began in overcast conditions and due to the overnight rain, runs proved to be difficult to come by. Main contributions with the bat came from Tyler Simpson (30), Vyv Reinikka (30) and Cody Goldenstein (34). Wickets fell fairly consistently in trying conditions however we still managed to post a very respectable total of 9/163 after our 40 overs. With the o...utfield being as slow as it was and the pitch playing a little inconsistently, we felt we had more than enough runs on the board. With our confidence high, Corey Mellor (0/8 off 3 overs) and Shaun Goldenstein (0/7 off 2 overs) had us off to a great start. But it was the weather who had the last laugh, with the game being called off 5 overs in to Bay Power’s innings. Definitely not the way we would’ve liked to have won but after the dominant season Tinana has had it was well deserved. A massive thank you must go to Daryll Stumbras and his family for putting on a great feed for the 40 odd people that turned up to our after party. Also thanks to Simmo and Steve for their tireless efforts behind the scenes and long nights at the Cricket Club making sure the team runs smoothly. And a very special thank you must go to the supporters of the Tinana Cricket Club for coming out to watch our games and following us closely on Facebook, it is greatly appreciated. Also a big congratulations to Past Grammars for taking out another thoroughly deserved A-grade Premiership. Congratulations on a great year everyone!
13.01.2022 Mycricket way back how it was done ....records by Jon Chapman 84-85 Tinana agrade which was all two day cricket then ...Tinana played Grammers in the grand final but 3 days of the 4 were washed out and Grammers won because they finished as minor preimers
13.01.2022 We have spins this Friday night everyone, so come on out to the Crickety and support Tinana. New floor coverings should be finished with a new dance floor ready for Vyv and Steve.
12.01.2022 Cricket Australia strongly recommends that community associations take all practical steps to adopt the ICC directive and mandate that all junior and senior players wear British Standard 7928:2013 compliant helmets from 2019/20 season onwards when batting, wicket-keeping up to the stumps and fielding in close to the batter.https://www.community.cricket.com.au/clubs/policies/helmets
12.01.2022 Reserve grade T20 Winners. Smashed Shamrocks in the semi then defeated Bay Power in the Grand Final. Great work by the boys today. Details to come.

10.01.2022 Won the toss and elected to bat on Saturday. Got off to another great start with Finny, Shaun, Tyler, Vyv and Stumby all getting starts but no one going on to get a big score. Lost our last 7 wickets for 35 runs to be all out for 173 in the 35th over. We then had to bowl without the services of Corey who stepped up to play A Grade. Had the opposition at 3 for 14 in the 7th over before a few good partnerships suddenly had them in a winning position at 5 for 150 in the 28th ove...r. With 5 wickets still to get and the opposition only needing 24 runs to win off 12 overs things didn't look too good. This is the time stand in Captain Hinchy throws the ball to Vyv (3 for 24) who comes back with a great spell to claim three wickets and turn the match. Hinchy (2 for 32) and Shaun Goldy (3 for 28) also bowled fantastic spells with Hinchy getting an LBW to end a fantastic turnaround where we got the last 5 wickets for only 15 runs and to catapult Tinana to three wins in front of second place. Great win fellas!! See more

08.01.2022 Great game yesterday with the boys beating Bushrangers Gold. Bushies won the toss an elected to bat but had their top order destroyed by Corey Mellor with figures of 3 for 12 off 8 overs. Damien Hinchliff grabbed 3 for 20 off 7 overs which included a brilliant caught and bowled. Cody, Matt N and Freddo also picked up wickets to have Bushies all out for 105. We were cruising at 4 for 86 off 23 overs when the rain came and ended the game. Tinana win with a superior run rate. Co...dy finishing on 11n/o and Vyv was in the runs again with 21. But it was young Ryan Wilcox who stood up and showed his class with an excellent 21n/o. We now meet Past Grammars next week in Maryborough with the winner going through to the Grand Final. Great effort all round fellas. Also a big thanks to Stumpy and Corey who came off the field and went straight over to help Grammars in their match. Big effort fellas!! See more

03.01.2022 Cricket is still on at the moment
03.01.2022 Great win yesterday from the boys, lost Terry with a broken thumb, Freddo had to leave early and Vyv did a hammy. Toughed it out to beat Australs by 75 runs after our batsmen put on a massive 246 runs earlier in the day. Fantastic effort from the boys with our young guns standing tall and the old fellas backing them up. Good luck with the surgery today Terry.
03.01.2022 Still no canteen at the cricket club guys so come prepared otherwise there are pies and sausage rolls behind the bar.
03.01.2022 Reminder for tomorrow that its a 12 noon start so can everyone get to the grounds earlier. To anyone interested there will be a great article in Saturdays Chronicle so grab yourself a copy. Also if the game is rained out we'll win the Grand Final as we are Minor Premiers. Not looking good at the moment but hopefully we can get on, a final decision will be made as late as possible tomorrow.. Up the mighty Tinana!!!
03.01.2022 Another solid performance yesterday saw Tinana take out our 11th win in a row against a Bushrangers outfit stacked with A-graders and desperate to solidify a spot in the top 4. After being sent out to field, tight bowling from our openers Corey Mellor (0/9 off 6 overs) and Shaun Goldenstein (1/29 off 8 overs) had the opposition struggling at 1/19 after 10 overs. Damien Hinchcliff then kept the pressure up with an impressive 1/24 off 6 overs. However the stand out bowler was t...he ever reliable Vyv Reinikka who took a fantastic 6/14 off his 8 overs, completely destroying the Bushrangers top order. It was then left to our batsmen to chase down a meagre total of 122 runs. A shaky start saw Tyler Simpson and Cody Goldenstein fall cheaply as the middle order all struggled to get going. A disgusting send off from a Bushrangers bowler after Shaun Goldenstein was harshly given out LBW added a bit of extra feeling to the innings and at drinks the tension was high. In the 21st over, Steve Mitchell joined opener Paul Fredrickson out in the middle with the score 6/69. Playing a much needed anchor role to an in form Fredrickson, Mitchell grinded out a gutsy 18* while Fredrickson began to free his arms finishing with 39*. The two putting on a match winning 55 run 7th wicket partnership. See more
03.01.2022 Our spins this Friday night at the Cricket Club, come out and support the club. See you at the Crickety!
