25.01.2022 The past few years I've been working closely with Garry and Lisa Garside of Olio Bello, rebranding their 'Allure' range to 'Olio Organics'. The Olio Organics range is one of a kind, their commitment to purity, sustainability and quality with each product being handcrafted at the Farm using their own 'certified organic extra virgin olive oil' is truly inspiring. All the ingredients are carefully sourced to ensure a provenance that is pure, ethical and sustainable. So the chall...enge for TL Design Co. was to create a new brand execution that, evoked an earthy, homely 'from the farm' feel; a real personal connection that resonated with the products being handmade with love right on the farm. 22.01.2022 The original brief for TraumaSim & Military Moulage was initially a 'logo tidy' however, we needed to push the boundaries further and align both identities to have similarities, but be unique in their own right. TraumaSim and Military Moulage specialise in providing medically accurate products and services; designed to simulate realistic wounds, injuries, and medical conditions that assist in the training and assessment of medics, first responders, and healthcare professional...s around the globe. Pretty serious stuff right! I was told realism within simulation and training significantly improves their client's results in workshops, so the goal was to create just as much ‘realism’ within the brand. 19.01.2022 Sometimes a brand just needs a refresh and a bit of magic Neorise, a software development business based here in Perth got in touch to discuss the redevelopment of their brand, requesting; logo, style guide, website design, suite of icons and proposed photography in line with new proposed colour palette, which was to reflect our Western Australian heritage and unique environment of resource rich orange soil, bizarre pink salt lakes and magical purple sunsets over the b...lue ocean. Neorises brief was also to bring the magic they do for business into their own brand. Their business pitch: At Neorise, our analysts and software developers dont wear cool hats like magicians. But we do know how to make business problems disappear with a little bit of magic. With the existing logo being designed 11 years ago, the task for the designer at the time was to create something abstract. As inspiration technical director Patrick D'Cruze gave examples of sculptures from an Australian artist - Robert Hague that he loved. Their excellently detailed brief was extremely helpful so it was TL Design Co turn to create some design magic! We focused on reworking/developing a bright, bold, fun identity that complimented the transformative nature of the brand through the new colour spectrum, and the result? 16.01.2022 I absolutely loved working on this project with Sharon of Serenity & Rose. The overall look and feel is romantic, gentle, and evokes a soft/pure aesthetic; whilst ‘I feel’ still sophisticated, elegant, and classy! Each product is handmade by Sharon with love and attention, and each ingredient is thought about to make sure that there is an overall benefit, whether that be physical or emotional. I felt incorporating the 'Rose' within the Wordmark was important, it has a special... meaning for Sharon and I've used a sketched rose with an 'English garden feel' as a secondary graphic and strategically placed it in different locations to work with the packaging/bottles to make each a little unique. For brand flexibility creating a suite of logo, variations allows for future growth. 13.01.2022 Jill found me on Instagram and after reading through her design brief, and a ‘good old chat’ we knew she loved her existing logo and its colour but no one could pronounce her business name ‘Alhambra Interiors’; so she needed to rename/rebrand to Jill Owens Interiors. The challenge, in a nutshell, was ‘same same but different’. However, I didn’t want to just recreate her logo with the new name, I wanted to explore and develop a new brand identity around her name to reflect her... personal style. Jill mentioned her clients said she is professional, organised, patient and a problem solver, they also just call her 'Jill' and this is how she is just known due to clients struggling with the pronunciation of Alhambra. The concept around the design is drawn from her existing logos colour palette yet expanding it a touch for brand flexibility and I wanted to focus on (and have some fun) with the ‘Jill’. So to create a focal point on her name I played with the ‘i’, and by fading back the 'Owens' a touch it emphasises ‘Jill’ making it a Wordmark in its own right. The identity design flowed into sub-brand ideas allowing future development possibilities, and a pattern to use on stationery and maybe one day wallpaper! I love the part of my job where I may not even get to meet the person but I feel like I know them! Jill mentioned to me ‘Do you see how often I use exclamations marks, it's one of the reasons I like your logo so much, reminds me of my love of exclamations!!!’ ... Funny thing is I didn’t! I worked with owner/designer Kelly Negus to develop a new visual identity solution that would deliver her belief that, 'behind her business name is that there should be a connection between you and your home, as well as interiors that feel connected, with a flow from one room to the next'. In saying this we developed a brand that evoked style, sophistication and the treatment included a... contemporary take on a flexible logo concept where the 'Company Name & Designer' can come together and 'connect' to each other in different ways visually, creating a brand with several logo variations. TL Design Co. was happy to help these passionate trainers redevelop their Personal Training logo; overall branding and create a website they could manage themselves. They loved their existing logo but they wanted it to have more legibility and more power behind it, to reflect their business and it's clients personal goals. EPT specialise in 1 on 1 results-based training and have a bespoke PREP System program they... offer to clients to assess which service will benefit their specific individual goals. Their approach includes periodised training programs, specific nutritional protocols, and the highest level of accountability. This creates the best foundation for them to support their clients through their journey and outlines the difference a coach can make. TL worked on a minor refresh and colour change and also supplied a full brand guideline to help create future marketing material and keep the brand consistent and cohesive.
