This is a great relief for the profession and the many patients awaiting treatment. It is a product of ongoing advocacy by the ADA and working collaboratively with the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) to get dentists and clinical practitioners back to work quickly and safely. Level 1 means that all routine, urgent and emergency dental treatment can now be treated safely using standard precautions and practising very high infection control protocols.
