20.01.2022 Message from Heidi I hope that all of our families got the letter that I sent home yesterday regarding my absence. Heres a copy below, just in case.... I am writing to you today to let you know that I will be taking sick leave for the remainder of this term. I have developed vertigo where extreme bouts of dizziness is impacting upon many aspects of my life. Making the decision to take this leave has been very challenging for me because I love my job, the school, staff, fami...lies and especially the kids! I am taking this extended period of leave to seek further medical assessments and treatments and to work out how best to manage this condition. Taking this leave also provides the best continuity for the school. Id like to sincerely thank Mr Theofanes who has been the acting principal in my absence and Mrs Carmichael who has stepped up as the acting deputy principal. Our Assistant Regional Director has appointed Mrs Andrea Whelan to be the acting principal at our school until my return. Mrs Whelan is an experienced principal and I am sure that you will make her feel very welcome to our community. See more

18.01.2022 We are joining in with Pink Stumps Day on Friday 27 November and we are hoping to see a sea of pink. Our school has had a long tradition of supporting families with breast cancer and research into breast cancer cures. This year we are changing our activity and encouraging our community to join in and help raise funds for this important work. Tomorrow children are encouraged to wear pink - pink anything - and pay a gold coin donation which we will donate to the McGrath Foun...dation. Starting at second break, there will be a staff vs senior students cricket game just for fun. McGrath Breast Care Nurses bring families peace of mind through expert knowledge, personal care, and genuine compassion. They can help create time in their life not defined by breast cancer. Our school would love your support in Pinking Up and fundraising to help place specialist McGrath Breast Care Nurses, wherever they're needed. Mrs Wyllie has registered our school for direct donations - if you can help, or want to see how much we raise as a community, check out the link below. Together, we can make a difference! https://www.pinkstumpsday.com.au//kristenw/pink-stumps-day
