25.01.2022 Total Earth Care has extensive experience in translocating and protecting threatened species, ecological communities, and their habitat. Total Earth Care has been involved in the habitat management and enhancement of numerous threatened flora species over our 30 years of operation. Total Earth Care has recently conducted the translocation of one mature specimen and two seedlings of Pimelea curviflora var. curviflora at the Shellharbour Airport. These plants were translocated to save them as they would likely be impacted by proposed development at the Shellharbour Airport. https://www.totalearthcare.com.au//pimelea-curviflora-tra/

20.01.2022 What a perfect shot! Photographer Christian Spencer captured the scene as a male emu led his chicks across Lake Gairdner, SA. "A male emu leads his young acros...s an immense salt lake after sunset in the Australian outback. After the female lays the eggs, the male sits on the nest and looks after the chicks for up to a year. They cross the salt lakes in search of food on the red granite islands." : Christian Spencer via ABC Adelaide

15.01.2022 Please never let us forget that this happened and that the state of our natural world is threatened. Every action as individuals and in Business needs to be carefully considered so that we can address Climate Change. We need to work towards a closed loop of activity so that we know where our resources are coming from and how we are disposing of them be it material or energy. As David Attenborough has explained so beautifully in his book and film Our Planet - his witness statement and vision for the future ... We are the first generation to understand the problems we face and the last who can do anything about it. At Total Earth Care we as a company have declared Climate Emergency as part of our own witness statement and vision for the future ... we would be eternally grateful if you could do the same .. Thank you :)

12.01.2022 The slender hyacinth-orchid, also known as Dipodium variegatum, captured by one of our Ecologists during a site visit. Orchids are magnificent species with many unique floral displays. Although, outside of flowering season they can be difficult to spot, making them a notoriously cryptic family. Our team is always excited to spot these on site, have you seen any orchids in flower recently?... To learn more about our team and the services we can provide, feel free to stop by our website: https://www.totalearthcare.com.au/our-services/ #totalearthcare #orchid #nsw #ecological #environmental #consulting #australia #bush

05.01.2022 Drinking Numbats It is commonly perceived that Numbats don't drink water, getting all the hydration they need from the 20,000 or so termites they consume ea...ch day. However, AWC ecologist, Trevor Bauer, has recently recorded interesting drinking activity at our Scotia Wildlife Sanctuary. Multiple Numbats have been snapped using their long tongues to drink at our homestead pond, and from post-rain footpath puddles. The Numbat is one of the world’s most endangered mammals - only an estimated ~1,000 are left. We protect four populations within large, feral predator-free areas at our Yookamurra (SA), Mt Gibson (WA) and Scotia (NSW) Wildlife Sanctuaries, and at Mallee Cliffs National Park (NSW). T Bauer/AWC
