21.01.2022 A large mine-site can often have hundreds of lay-flat firefighting hoses. Annually, these require collecting, pressure testing and repairing to the relevant standards and regulations. This is difficult for remote locations often hundreds of kilometres from the nearest testing station. 15.01.2022 Total Fire recently completed the five yearly scheduled hydrant system service at one of the many Glencore sites we look after. As you can see we bring a converted fire truck onsite to carry out the hydrant flow test through the booster connection in accordance with AS2419.1 and a hydrostatic pressure test. #safety #firesafety #maintenance #fireprotection #mining

04.01.2022 So why has Total Fire Solutions bought a fire truck? Part of the regular testing of Hydrant and water pumping fire protection systems, is carrying out regular flow and pressure testing of the underground and surface feeder lines and system. Our fire truck was bought for that purpose and also sports full MDG Compliance so can service our mining customers. Because it started life as a fire truck it carries a massive built in foam tank - filled with environmentally friendly foa...m, variable proportioning, live reels and lay flat hoses, so the mines have shown added interest in borrowing it during shutdowns All that and we think it looks pretty cool in our company colours. 02.01.2022 Ingstrom Escape Chutes being serviced by Total Fire Solutions (Aust) Pty Ltd Interestingly these Chutes fitted to both a hydraulic excavator and a rope shovel, have both been in service for over 10 years and we are proud to report nil damage and few replacement repairs.
