24.01.2022 Tuesday night is usually when our choir is rehearsing and we miss it! Here's a look back at our first choir rehearsal of the year when our cast of Mamma Mia was getting ready for opening night in the Civic Theatre. We love our members and we can't wait to gather and sing with you all again. #loveourcommunity #choirfamily #inthistogether

23.01.2022 We're sad to hear of the passing of Norma Lamont yesterday. Norma was a great soprano and long time member of both the Eisteddfod Choir and ChoralAires. Norma could always be relied upon for her comedic timing in theatre restaurants. It didn't matter how bizarre the character she was given, she always rose to the occasion. We have particularly fond memories of Noma's performance with Daphne Pease as Norse Viking women in "soap opera".... Our thoughts and prayers are with Norma and her family.

11.01.2022 Today the Townsville Choral Society committee met to confirm that we will not be attending the North Queensland Eisteddfod in Mackay and that we support the recommendation by the North Queensland Eisteddfod committee to reschedule the 94th North Queensland Eisteddfod to Townsville in 2021. As a result of today’s decision, all Choir activities will be suspended for this week and the Townsville Choral Society committee will review and update our members late this week about future activity.

07.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, our production of The Little Mermaid has been postponed. While it's not possible for our Little Mermaid to step ashore just yet, our creative team is still working on the show and we look forward to being part of your world in the future.

05.01.2022 There's no feeling quite like the pride of seeing a friend or family member try something new for the very first time. Early this year our Mamma Mia cast performed at the Civic Theatre, some of them having never sung on its stage before in their lives. Here are some behind-the-scenes moments of the very first sound check that make us incredibly proud. We look forward to when we can give more North Queenslanders opportunities and experiences like this. Mamma Mia was proudly supported by Townsville City Council Community Grants Program.

03.01.2022 My my, just how much I've missed you #mammamiatsv #fABBAulous Supported by Townsville City Council Photo Chrissy Maguire
