23.01.2022 Meet Michael Trowbridge, or to us Trowie. Hes a bit of a superstar here at Transperth, on account of him being the face of quite a few of our marketing campaigns over the years. Weve dressed him up as everything from a fisherman and an Easter egg, to one of Santas helpers. Since starting his career with MTT way back in 1985, he has driven buses at our Causeway, Kalamunda and Redcliffe depots and even spent a few years as a Transperth Inspector. After 10 years he moved to work for Swan Transit, one of our private operators but lucky for us returned to Transperth in 1996 as a Senior Service Planner. Hang in there Trowie, were cooking up a new campaign that could be tailor made for you!

14.01.2022 We proudly unveiled our latest public art piece with a Welcome to Country on July 30th. Designed and created by Jade Dolman and her team, the piece depicts the rich Noongar history of the Maylands area. The Waugyl moves through the artwork to show how the landscape was created. The dancing silhouette people remind us how Maylands was once a rich hunting and camping ground, and a place of celebration. The Wardong (crow) and Maniti (Western Corella Cockatoo) silhouettes are powerful moiety animals of great spiritual significance. : J.D. Penangke

07.01.2022 With years of public transport experience under their belt, The Statue doesnt have to move for the train doors. They stand in the perfect position and the train doors come to them.

06.01.2022 Marc started his professional life as a ceiling fixer, followed by a stint at Westrail before becoming a glassy at Burswood Casino. Here he discovered his love of meeting and interacting with new people, which led him to apply for the newly created Passenger Ticketing Assistant position at the PTA in 2006. After being awarded the role, he went on to help introduce the new ticketing era for Transperth, transitioning from the old technology of the paper MultiRider to the new Sm...artRider card. After a few years, he was appointed as a Customer Service Assistant. This transition made him a face of the organisation, where he enjoys interacting with many passengers on a day-to-day basis. One of the most rewarding parts of his job is helping people with disabilities use public transport, watching their confidence grow and giving them the independence of being able to travel by themselves. Making a difference in people’s lives is always important to Marc. Several years ago, he got to be a part of history with the construction of Perth Underground Station and Perth City Link. He found the experience amazing, assisting passengers through such a dramatic change. Thanks Marc for being a part of our story!

06.01.2022 UPDATE AS AT 6.30PM: The Rainbow Zone and Leopold Hotel are at capacity. Please avoid these areas.

06.01.2022 This morning we had technical issues which affected all of our train lines, which isn’t something that happens every day. Over the weekend we upgraded some infrastructure near Perth and this led to unexpected issues with our signal testing. To keep you safe meant delaying morning peak services. Whilst trains were still moving, we know that for many of you this was very frustrating and we apologise for the inconvenience it caused, especially to those trying to get to work and school, and importantly ATAR exams.
