12.01.2022 Hi all, With the COVID-19 pandemic upon us, I thought I would reach out to all our clients and let you all know that we are here to help, and taking steps to ensure that we will be available to assist our clients through this crisis. At TrustTel we will be taking the following precautions to ensure the safety of all our staff and customers... Service work will be carried out remotely where possible If on-site service work is required, staff and technicians will wash hands regularly after each desk that is visited and maintain social distancing rules as much as practical We have already in place a crisis management plan and can operate fully with all staff working from home if closure of the office is required There is currently unprecedented call and data volumes travelling across the phone and internet network (including ours), and there has been some isolated reports of call drop outs and instability. This instability is actually at the primary carrier level (Telstra/TPG/Optus/Vodafone capacity to switch calls between carriers) as these carriers adjust to significant increases in call and data volume due to people working from home. We are expecting to have this situation improved by the end of this week and will update you further next week. Furthermore, if you, your staff or office is impacted by self-isolating or quarantine, we have the following options available to you to ensure as much business continuity as possible. We will not be charging for any labour or setup costs for this work to be completed, however we ask for your patience during this time to complete requested works as we expect the demand to be high Call diversion to mobile or other numbers. This can include an automated attendant menu, giving your customers choice as to who answers their call (i.e Press 1 for Peter, 2 for Jane, 3 for Sally etc.) Remote phones we have the ability in many cases for you to take your work phone home Connectivity via apps talk to us to discuss turning your mobile phone or computer into a virtual extension of your phone system while you work from home.
