25.01.2022 Tumbarumba High School will be supporting the Pyjama Foundation by raising money for children living in foster care. Students are invited to wear their pyjamas on Thursday 2nd July and bring a gold coin donation to be collected by the SRC during DEAR. Bacon and egg rolls will be available for pre-order for the next week so bring $5 to order a bacon and egg roll to eat on Pyjama Day! Students are reminded to bring a change of outfit for any practical classes they have that day to ensure student safety during practical lessons. Please be mindful of your foot wear during wet weather as well. If anyone would like to order a pyjama day shirt for $25 please pay your money and record your name and size at the front office by Friday 26th June. Please see the t-shirt colours and sizes below.

20.01.2022 As part of year 7 science, students participate in the Cows Create Careers program. It is a fun, hands on learning experience. The best part is raising poddy calves, meet (currently unnamed) calf 1 of 2. Stay tuned for calf #2



20.01.2022 NAIDOC WEEK Always Was, Always Will Be ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for many thousands of years. At Tumbarumba High School, we celebrate and acknowledge our Indigenous history.... Ms Hill, along with Triniti Hussell and Jacqueline Pearce, have organised some fun activities for all students to do today. Students will participate in dance, Aboriginal games and art. Kangaroo sausage was available for sample over lunch, as well as cupcakes for sale. Students have engaged with a wide variety of cultural media and texts this week, the school community has been enhanced. We greatly appreciate the effort Ms Hill, Triniti, Jacqueline and the many helpers who have made this week a success.

19.01.2022 Movember 2020 is drawing to a close. Mr Smiths mo is coming along nicely. Those who have opted for kms are ticking them off. There’s still time to donate. With the money you raise, we fund ground breaking health projects across mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. 16.01.2022 The Principal and Deputy Principal will be attending an official DoE briefing this afternoon on how NSW Public School students will resume full-time school attendance in Week 5. The school will then be in a position to clarify any questions that may relate to social distances, hygiene, sport and excursion practices etc in accordance with the Phase 0-4 recommendations developed by the NSW Government.

14.01.2022 A massive congratulations to Lachlan Fisher for achieving First Place in the state for the 2020 Higher School Certificate for Metals & Engineering Examination (VET). AMAZING EFFORT! The students who have obtained first place in a 2020 Higher School Certificate course will be acknowledged today for their extraordinary academic achievement. (Lachlan is 5th from the top and 5 in from the left)

14.01.2022 Health and Physical Education day was yesterday, Tuesday 2nd September. Our sports coordinator, Miss Skeers, organised a 100 point physical challenge for students to get points for completing various activities. Points are still being tallied and confirmed. Activities included step ups, plank hold, sit ups, pushups, running and throwing, catching, spinning various balls.

14.01.2022 A great listen to our Principal, Michael Blenkins and our neighbour, Batlows Principal Michelle Wainwright, with their reflection podcast with our Secretary Department of Education on the bushfires and COVID. We are lucky to have them leading our schools.

13.01.2022 Yesterday students from 7-10 participated in the Snowy Valley’s Cricket Blast event in Tumut against Tumut High and McAuley. Two of the four teams finished the day undefeated. All students displayed good sportsmanship and a huge thank you to Amanda Richards for transport on the day
