19.01.2022 "Stories are so powerful especially the ones where people are forever impacted by an experience. John was one such young person forever impacted by one of our camps. John was a Buddy at our Camp Jono. A great young man with a heart to serve. He was paired as a support for a young man living with disability at a camp. At times throughout the week, John was pushed out of his comfort zone and challenged to focus solely on the needs of his buddy, so much so it looked as if he... was considering giving up. With the encouragement of his leaders, John didn’t give up, but made it his mission to ensure his buddy had the camp of a lifetime. At the debrief at the end of the week, John had the entire staff team in tears as he shared how hard the week had been, but how he had been forever impacted by the experience to see the needs of others first. 08.01.2022 Turn your likes into love! Tunnel Ridge Ranch has a long history of generous people and businesses who have helped us do what we do. As a not for profit, we depend on both our paid camps and the generosity of our supporters. We have need to rebuild one of our main roads at the ranch the Road to the Arena.... This road is used every day to feed and care for the horses, transport staff between areas on the site, and by our guests to make their way to their wonderful experiences with our horses. You can be a part of providing better access for people with physical disabilities, for our staff and trail ride guests, and to help us turn our grand canyon into a safe and smooth road to the arena. Our goal is $7000 for the road base and rental equipment needed to repair and upgrade this section of dirt road. This will also provide enough material to make a few smaller repairs elsewhere around the property. Will you help us reach that goal by June 30? We provide a fun and exciting camp experience with activities aimed at the needs and abilities of our campers. We share the loving message of Jesus and aim to see every camper live with a smile a... mile wide! Camp Jono is run by a team of volunteers and the staff at Tunnel Ridge Ranch. Each camper is paired with a Buddy for the week to help give them a wonderful, supportive and safe camp experience. This camp can be paid for with NDIS funding through Hands & Feet Disability Services, a Registered NDIS Provider.
