18.01.2022 Abit of fun on the way to grafton

17.01.2022 BOX RALLIES GRANTS ANNOUNCED We are very proud and excited to announce the research grants which have been funded by Box Rallies from the funds raised in the 20...18/19 fundraising year. The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) is the pinnacle for vital funding from ground-breaking cancer research projects. They are Australia’s most prestigious health and medical funding body and are funded by the Australian Government through the Federal Budget. There are over 2,700+ health and medical applications submitted for NHMRC funding every year, but their budget only goes so far. Previously, Box Rallies was able to fund multi-state research projects via Cancer Council grants. From 2019, Box Rallies & Cancer Council have taken a new approach one that means Box Rallies now funds the most outstanding cancer research projects nationally. For the first time, Box Rallies has funded the next highest ranked grants after the NHMRC. This means that Box Rallies is now funding some of the most exciting cancer research projects across the country with the highest potential to significantly impact those affected by cancer. The 2,700+ applications submitted to the NHMRC are put through an extremely rigorous process of review to whittle the list down into a ‘ranked list’ of the best research applications in the country. Whilst this ‘ranked list’ have been assessed as ‘fundable’ only the very, very best, the top ranked applicants from any State or Territory in Australia will be funded by Box Rallies via Cancer Council. Through the monies raised from the 2018 2019 fundraising year, Box Rallies are funding 7 grant proposals up to $450,000 each. Summaries of these are listed below. The grants are awarded in March each year, so we look forward to seeing how the funds raised in the 2019/20 fundraising year continue to support our best national cancer researchers. 12.01.2022 Thanks to the lads at Central Coast Mufflers and Towbar sorting out a leak in the muffler on the VW. The first of a few issues that need to be addressed before the next rally!

10.01.2022 Hi Brian, thanks for having a look at the carby and timing on the VW today, the pink beast is running the smoothest since it getting back from the last rally.

07.01.2022 The ShitBox Rally has been postpone until 2021, we are disappointed that the Rally has been postponed. However it seems like a good idea, with some states going back into lock-down and with no opening date in sight for some state boarders. On the up side the Rally will happen and it gives us more time to raise fund s for the Cancer council. If your in a position to do so have a look at the attached link https://2020spring.shitboxrally.com.au/two-loose-nuts/donate All donation...s go directly to the Cancer Council! Any donation over $2 is tax deductible. Also if you know a business that may like to sponsor us please let them know, they will get a advertising spot on the ShitBox rally official page plus a prime spot on the car for stickers. Thanks everyone!

05.01.2022 Hi All, unfortunately due to family commitments, I will be unable to take part in the spring rally. Luckily two loose nuts has found another crazy Co pilot to take on the challenge. It looks like the biggest test yet for the little pink beast and I wish the boys the best of luck. Hopefully your in a group with great people like our last one. It’s a great challenge for a great cause, and I encourage everyone to get around them. Robert Goldsworthy

02.01.2022 The Pink VW survived a Mystery Box in 2019 - Now the real challenge the 2020 Spring Shitbox Rally. We are really pleased to announce that 'Two Loose Nuts' will be taking part in Shitbox Rally 2020 Spring!! This year, all the teams are driving their shitboxes from Mackay to Darwin 3318km. Shitbox Rally is the largest community lead fundraiser for the Cancer Council in Australia and is now in its 11th year. Part of the participation is that all teams have to raise a minimum of ...$5,000 but most teams raise well above this amount as you can see with the 2020 Spring rally target set at $2,000,000 plus. These funds go to the Cancer Council and we are extremely proud to be doing our part to support such a worthy charity. The fundraising is the hard part, so any donation you can give is greatly appreciated. Please make sure to follow our progress via this page. Donations can be made via the "We Give" page. https://2020spring.shitboxrally.com.au/two-loose-nuts/
