This communication is to let you all know that i have stepped down as club President and handed over the reigns to Ernesto Covino.... This was not an easy decision as i love this club very much but also as the Gridiron SA Chairman i wasn't doing both roles the justice they deserve and don't want to do half jobs. I can see a lot of opportunities for growth with the league and wanted to give the Chairman role the focus it deserves. Ernesto is a passionate Eagle who will give his everything into being the best President he can be so please give him your full support as being the club President is a very rewarding role. The club would like to thank him for his hard work and dedication as a coach, player and supporter of the Eagles over the last nineteen years. 13.01.2022 Club Announcement. Our biggest non player club award will be getting a slight name change from this year onward. The Garry Heyne Award given to the club person of the year will be having a slight name tweak to best represent the award and the people that deserve the honour of having their name on it.... It is with honour I announce that the award will now be called the Garry and Heather Heyne Award. Heather is an Eagle through and through and gave as much effort, time and love to this club as what Garry did, and he will be the first to say so. Join me in thanking and congratulating Heather and looking forward to seeing them hand this award out at the next Gala night early 2021.

04.01.2022 It is with great sadness today that we hear of the passing of one of our brothers in purple, Ryan Kelly. Over the last few seasons, Ryan made an impact on our team, and was a much loved team mate. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and those who were close to him. No words can express our sadness of Ryan's passing, he will be dearly missed.

03.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that we today learn of the passing of our Eagles brother, Norbert Pecsi. Norbi was a tough and loyal team mate, loved by all who shared the field with him. A man of few words, he preferred to let his actions speak for themselves. He was a formidable opponent, and recognised as a legend of the club by his peers and coaches, receiving club awards and ultimately inducted into the Eagles All Star team. Underneath that toughness, was a kind a caring man wi...th a great sense of humour who will be dearly missed.
