06.01.2022 PRUNING by Vertical Tree Management & Consultancy is undertaken; by an Arborist with a minimum qualification of AQF level 3... in accordance with the Australian Standard 4373 - 2007 Pruning of Amenity Trees in accordance with the Workcover Code of Practice - Amenity Tree Industry 1998 covered by relevant insurance. One of the key objectives when pruning a tree is to create and maintain a strong structure with a functional and pleasing form. This can be achieved by undertaking pruning regularly throughout the life of the tree. All pruning should allow for natural distribution of foliage and weight along the branches and branch ends according to species and their stages of maturity. This level of knowledge and experience is a prerequisite for the majority of Councils that request Arboricultural Reports for the private & public domains including the assessment of trees on development sites. Consultant arborist are continually developing throughout their career and should be active members in industry associations, workshops, & conferences. Additionally, a consultant arborist should have a valid ABN or ACN and relevant insurances and be able to produce these documents on request.
