22.01.2022 I LOVE BIRTHDAYS (almost as much as I love champagne)!!! For me birthdays are a time where I can carve out time selfishly for myself and I never feel bad about it. I stop and look at where I am right now, the journey Im on and most importantly who is still on this crazy journey with me. When I stop like this and reflect I am always overwhelmed by the amount of joy I feel. Genuine warm fuzzies . Its been a bloody hard year for so many including me, but fortunately I have... the best people strapped into the roller coaster with me, always there to celebrate with me, laugh with me, cry with me and drink bubbles and get up to mischief with me. I had an absolutely wonderful birthday starting with a delicious lunch out with my favourite people in the world (my family) at @lotonehundred enjoying delicious food, bubbles and this raw cake (made by my beautiful sissy @i.e.meg .Thank you beauty ). This is what has been announced today.... Here is what we can tell you: ... As of 12pm today, Friday 20 November 2020 exercise outside of your home with members of your household is permitted. Masks are not mandatory but are encouraged. Schools will re-open on Monday 23 November 2020. We will continue to review all Directions with the aim to open the borders to VIC on 1 December as originally planned and further open our state by reducing restrictions. As of 12:01am on Sunday 22 November (Midnight Saturday) we will revert back to similar restrictions that were in place on Monday 16 November 2020. This includes: 1 person per 4 square metres will apply. No dancing or vertical consumption. Updated gathering provision numbers being: Onsite purchase and consumption of food and beverages- 100 people maximum and no more than 10 people at each table. 20.01.2022 Belated Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you had a fabulous Christmas with all your loved ones! I am loving going through my feed and seeing all the first Christmas’s with brand new bubbas and happy time spent with the family and friends that Covid has prevented us from seeing this year! Our Chrissy plans were spoiled by a tummy bug unfortunately, so a trip over to Whyalla to see my husband’s family was replaced with sick Flanegan men (little and big) and sooo much cleaning. ...It wasn’t what we planned and were quite devastated, but if 2020 has taught us anything it’s how to roll with the punches and focus on the positive, so we did just that. We enjoyed a wonderful morning opening presents, a trip down the park with family socially distanced and a yummy meal (that we all couldn’t eat- but the Boxing Day leftovers were next level). We are pretty sure it was the last Chrissy with our beautiful dog, Bella, so we are thankful we could spend it with her, we were all together and the weather was stunning! 19.01.2022 Issy and Glen 22/8/20 | Issy and Glens love story started almost 4 years ago in the old fashion and romantic way of writing love letters, but in the slightly more modern format of messaging each other as they met online. Issy really is a romantic at heartapparently she messaged Glen for the first time because she was bored. In fact, her boredom buster that day was messaging a few people she liked the look of that lived locally just to see what would happen.... It worked out well, because Issy did actually genuinely like Glens profile the most, so when he messaged her back she was very excited. The more time they spent together Issy could feel her heart filling with love and Glen could not get over how completely comfortable he felt in Issys presence. I was so thrilled to be able to marry these two beautiful souls yesterday at @serafinowines ! It was my first wedding back for a little while. Im not gonna lie, it felt a little strange getting ready and arriving there. Not because I was worried about not doing a good job, but because as wedding suppliers it feels like things have shifted so much in such a relatively short amount of time. 15.01.2022 Honestly, thank you to all my couples for recognising while in the midst of their struggles with the Covid uncertainty that this situation is not my fault as much as it is not theirs. NO ONE could have predicted this. The only thing to blame is Rona and goodness knows Rona is not picking up the tab here. We’ve definitely honed our resilience skills, we know that when things don’t go according to plan the sky doesn’t fall and we can cope (oh boi not much happened according to plan in 2020 did it!?). I simply hope 2021 offers up more opportunities for me to do what I love (marry awesome humans of course), that my 2021 couples’s wedding planning is a lot less stressful and that everyone is safe, happy and healthy! 05.01.2022 Every couple is so unique and not everyone is a shout it from the rooftops lover when it comes to their vows. I love hearing my couples loved up, sometimes funny, and personal vows that they have written from the heart, but #youdoyouboo .There are so many ways you can express your love during your wedding ceremony without long mushy vows. If thats your bag do it, embrace it, but if its not I have heaps of ideas to help you navigate this sometimes stressful part of your ceremony planning so you feel happy and comfortable on your big day, while still sharing your feelings to the one you love . You feel comfy with them- As celebrants we are right there with you during some pretty intimate, sometimes nerve racking and intense (in a good way) moments, so a major part of my role as your celebrant is to be there to guide and support you (like a mate) answering all your questions and making sure you feel super comfy. Making space so you can fully immerse yourselves in all the goodness of your wedding ceremony. Is being comfort...able with your celebrant so you can feel all the feels top of your list? Then add number 1 in the comments. 2. Personality with a side of personality- Celebrants are all trained to sort the legal paperwork and deliver a ceremony, but not all celebrants are created equal, so if guest engagement, charisma and belly laughs are at the top of your celebrant must haves list add 2 to your comment. 3. Profesh and experienced- fresh and fun but also gets it. Only with a lot of mic time and real life ceremony experience comes a level of understanding and professionalism that I feel is required to enhance a once in a life time moment like your wedding ceremony. That ability to preempt your needs before you get to the point of needing something. Theres #nodovers on your wedding day so if professionalism and experience top your list then add 3 to your comment. 4. Authenticity- you just want real, connected and honest moments. Your ceremony is not a stage show its a celebration, so the last thing you want is stuffy, cookie cutter feels right? 04.01.2022 Tarryn and Grant are super chilled humans who knew exactly what type of ceremony they wanted right from the very first time we chatted. Something fun...tick. Not boring and lighthearted...tick. Not too long...tick, but very family focussed...TICK. I narrated their funny love story while their two kids played chasey around the groomsmen (after Grandpa and groomsmen had given them a whole bag of snakes to keep them quiet ). 03.01.2022 Loving one another for a long time really is an art . I feel so thankful to have been able to witness this art through my grandparents marriage (68 years), my parents marriage (40 years) and first hand within my own marriage of 8 years. In my own marriage I have not only learnt so much about my funny hubby, how he loves and needs to be loved, but also about myself and what I actually need vs. what Hollywood tells me I need or should expect. Every love connection is so uni...que and needs to be learned, practiced and explored. I get it... life is busy, everyone wants a peice if you, but I have found that the simplest investment of heartfelt energy nurtures my marriage and we all reap the rewards in the end. 02.01.2022 Cass and Ben 18.9.20- These two lovers were meant to get married at the end of May this year, so it was super exciting when I finally got to hitch them on Friday at the gorgeous Marybank Farm . To say that Ben is car mad would be an understatement, so they both rolled in in V8 style and he even referenced car parts when talking lovingly about his beautiful bride in his vows (Which worked out really well). All about an equal partnership Cass and Ben decided who would say their... heartfelt personal vows first by having a rock, paper, scissors off... Ben won...pure gold . Then after the ceremony they opened the dance floor straight up with non alcoholic drinks served from 5-7 while the very talented Tiana Rie and Rocket Entertainment entertained everyone, then happy hour started at 7pm with actual alcohol, speeches and tonnes of laughs to follow. 01.01.2022 Little tip: If your photographer suggests to sneak out during the reception for a quick photo sesh at ‘golden hour’ (right on dusk when the light is perfectly yummy) please take them up on it! I promise you won't be away for too long and honestly people are too drunk to even notice you are gone!
