25.01.2022 We have had some very busy little gold miners in Year 5 this week. As part of their English/History unit of study, students adopted the role of a well-known Australian gold miner to portray what life was like on the goldfields. Well done on some great research and presentations. #villanovacollege

15.01.2022 Today marks the beginning of Mission Week, celebrated at Villanova since 1975 as a focus of our commitment to social justice. Red candles, brought back from the Philippines by our 2019 AFAS Exchange students, will be lit at the dinner tables of Villanova families this week as we join together to support the work of the Australian Filipino Augustinian Solidarity (AFAS) in funding programs at our three sister schools in the Philippines. Today, our Junior School students received a taste of Filipino culture shopping for Filipino drinks and snacks at the sari sari, riding the jeepney and braving tinikling (dancing with bamboo poles). #villanovacollege #AFAS #redcandles

10.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day. 2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and circumstances have made it even more important for us all to stay connected and, for those who are able, be willing to support those around us. But what do you say when someone says theyre not ok? 1. Ask... 2. Listen 3. Encourage action 4. Check in Source: www.ruok.org.au There was plenty of yellow (and yummy treats thanks Mrs Mascadri) in the Junior School for RUOK? Day to remind our boys that every day is the day to ask, Are you ok? By participating in RUOK? Day, we want our students to understand that a simple conversation can be a positive step in supporting their friends and themselves. #villanovacollege #ruokday2020
