23.01.2022 How are we almost at the end of January already?! I hope you have all had a fantastic start to 2021 so far. Over the last few weeks, I have been reflecting upon 2020 and setting goals for the next year. Upon reflection, I am sure like many of you, the last 12 months were an emotional roller coaster. However, in looking back at the years' events I have an overwhelming sense of gratefulness. ... I am so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to start up my Virtual Assistant business ~4 months ago, to see directly how I can help small/medium business owners and for the flexible working hours. This flexibility has gifted me with the ability to work when I am most productive (most mornings I have worked for 2 hours before the kids wake up!), but also more quality time with my family so we can do more things that we love to do, which usually involves a good dose of vitamin ‘sea’! By taking this leap of faith, I know that my future self will continue to be eternally thankful and most importantly I know my children will be too. 21.01.2022 Feeling all the feels today, after dropping my daughter off for her first day of school this morning. I know it is so cliché, but parenthood really is so bittersweet isn't it??!! I grapple with such strong emotions of wishing there was a pause button, so I could stop and bottle up that precious moment vs. being so extremely excited about all of the amazing things that my little ones will experience. Thinking of all those fellow parents/carers out there, whose children are exp...eriencing their first days- whether it is daycare, kinder, primary or secondary school. Even after a very busy weekend & since taking the blends, both kids have noticeably been more chilled & able to wind down a lot quicker in the evenings (ah-mazing!!!) 10.01.2022 I know there has been a lot of controversy & speculation around the Australian Open lately, but what a monumental effort to get the tournament off the ground this year! Watching the tennis on the TV, takes me back to when I had the pleasure of working for Tennis Australia at the AO back in 2010. We had such an amazing team; attached is a testimonial from my boss at the time Being part of the AO & seeing what goes on behind the scenes makes you appreciate how much time & ...effort goes into hosting one of the worlds greatest sporting events.
