20.01.2022 Playing around with the strength of the paint colour you choose is a clever way of fine tuning to achieve the look that you want. Even whites can be tinted at half strength or double strength as they all have colour added to them - except the untinted white (for Dulux this is Vivid White)

05.01.2022 A recent question I had sent to the Vivid Design Bar: "What is the best window covering choice for a bedroom?" This is such a loaded question. Firstly, do you want block out? If so, curtains will be the best choice. A translucent roller behind them also looks really nice and allows you to create a bit of privacy even when the curtains are open.... If 100% block out is not a necessity, venetians and shutters are a great choice and look great from the outside (rollers and romans look a little boring) Always remember that if you select roller or roman blinds and have them recess fit, you will always get a few millimetres of sunlight shining through around the edges. 03.01.2022 Vivid Design Bar question Im renovating my kitchen and want stone benchtops but can only stretch the budget to afford 20mm. Is it enough or will it look cheap? If you can afford 20mm stone, definitely go with it! Especially in a small kitchen 20mm will look absolutely fine! Obviously 40mm is ideal but when trying to stick to a budget 20mm will still give you the amazing stone you want. If it bothers you, draw the eye up with some fantastic pendant lighting or have intere...sting door profiles underneath to take the eye away from the bench thickness.
