Youth Empowerment Camp is drawing to an end, now on the final day of the week-long trip. Facilitated by the Woombooriny Amboon Angarriiya Partnership Initiative, the camp aims to take a proactive step in empowering youth and raising future leaders as a whole community. "[WAAPI's] number one priority is to empower our people and where we begin is to empower our youth as well," Janella Isaac, one of the camp coordinators, said. About 40 kids were involved, specially selected by their communities to take part. The camp was Aboriginal led, designed, and delivered and supported by local service providers who came together for the week to host separate a range of educational and cultural activities.
