11.01.2022 Round 2 of the 2020/2021 Archerfield Speedway ECL Sprintcar track Championship. Our night was off to a great start with our first QUICKTIME of the season. Timing in 1st place with a 11.867 From there we had two tough hard fought heat races managing to moving forward in both. After an electrical problem stopping us from progressing in the dash we had a 6th place start for the main event. We bounced from a 6th place start to finish a very solid 2nd place at the end of the 30 ...lap Main event! I would like to thank every one that come out to support the #33 last night! 10.01.2022 Cody Maroske has gone quick time at Archerfield Speedway tonight with Lachlan McHugh second quickest ahead of Dylan Menz and Callum Walker with Luke Oldfield ro...unding out the fastest five. With the top Twenty-six cars separated by less than one second the scene is set for a thrilling night of racing. Tim Farrell rode out a massive wreck in his qualifying run and fortunately walked away from the crash. Jeremy Gaudry was the quickest in the Development Series hot lapping session and starts as one of the Development series favourites tonight. See more
10.01.2022 CALLUM WALKER joined the winners circle tonight after absolutely dominating every lap of the thirty-five lap feature event. Walker was faultless in lapped traff...ic and got the win in commanding fashion, with Lachlan McHugh unable to do anything to stop the Q33 racer racing away on each restart. McHugh finished second while Aaron Kelly and Jock Goodyer battled over third. Goodyer managed to get the better of Kelly and secured the final podium position with Aaron Kelly home in fourth and Mitchell Gee rounding out the top five tonight. What a race to start 2021! 09.01.2022 WORLD SERIES SPRINTCARS CANCELLED COVID-19’s latest casualty is World Series Sprintcars, with the 2020/21 series cancelled due to the ongoing uncertainty affect...ing the entire country. With no timeframe in place for the opening of the West Australian border, Victoria’s timelines for staging public events in December being uncertain, and Queensland reviewing their border position in December, it’s impossible for organisers, teams and suppliers to be able to plan and commit to a national tour such as World Series Sprintcars. We’d particularly like to thank the teams and tracks that had committed to running the 2020/21 series, especially the two new venues who were coming on board in Whyalla Speedway Club Inc. and Geraldton City Speedway. They’ll do a great job of hosting World Series Sprintcars when they eventually get the chance. We know that tracks, teams and fans are hoping for some good news, and we hope to be back with a vengeance in 2021/22. In the meantime, when regions and states begin to open back up we urge all competitors and fans to get behind their local tracks and enjoy regional racing when the opportunity arises. Planning for the 2021/22 series will commence in November, by which time there will hopefully be some light at the end of the tunnel.
09.01.2022 JOINT MEDIA RELEASE: SPRINTCAR SUPER SEVEN SERIES Whilst uncertainties around interstate travel left series organizers with no option but to cancel the 2020/202...1 World Series Sprintcar Championship, the recent easing of restrictions with more expected in the days ahead has enabled Speedway Australia to join forces with track operators in Queensland and New South Wales to present the Super Seven Series to be staged across four venues over 14 days. The tournament will kick off at Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedwayon Saturday, January 2, with Archerfield Speedway to host round two just 24 hours later on January 3. Teams will head north to Maryborough Speedway for round three for a Tuesday night show on January 5 and then return to Archerfield for a two-night fixture on January 8 and 9. A trip across the border to Lismore Speedway in northern New South Wales for round five on Tuesday, January 12 will be followed by the series finale back in Toowoomba on January 16. The series has been developed as a substitute for the traditional World Series events that would ordinarily be scheduled for the region at this time of the season and there will be two similar tournaments staged in Western Australia and South Australia/Victoria, the details of which will be announced soon. With the exception of round four at Archerfield which will carry a $10 000 first prize, all rounds will pay $5000 to the winner of the feature race, with Speedway Australia General Manager Tim Savell confirming a $20,000 series points fund. In the absence of World Series Sprintcars this summer, we urge everyone to make the best of the situation by getting involved in these regional initiatives over the holiday period. We’re delighted to be able to support teams and tracks by sponsoring a points fund for these Sprintcar events. Whilst World of Outlaws star Donny Schatz will be unable to take part in the series due to ongoing restrictions on international travel, it is expected that the lack of racing so far this season in southern states will ensure an influx of competitors desperate to get their season underway. More information about the series and individual events will be released soon. 2021 Super Seven Sprintcar Series Schedule January 2 Toowoomba January 3 Archerfield January 5 Maryborough January 8/9 Archerfield January 12 Lismore* January 16 - Toowoomba * Lismore is subject to crowd restrictions being lifted by NSW Health.

06.01.2022 LACHLAN MCHUGH got another win at Archerfield Speedway tonight with Luke Oldfield back in what is becoming a very familiar second. Callum Walker was absolutely ...sensational in the Q33 racer tonight, stealing second from Oldfield for a few laps and challenging again closer the chequered flag, the pair putting on a breath-taking show for fans as they negotiated over second while closing in on McHugh and the race lead in lapped traffic. Walker crossed the line in third with Aaron Kelly and Kevin Titman having impressive runs to round out the top five tonight. See more
