23.01.2022 I’d like to congratulate Andy Ridley and his team at Citizens of the Great Barrier Reef for this world first initiative. Given the size of the Reef and the fact that over 40 per cent has not yet been surveyed, this is an incredible opportunity to gain better insight into the current state of the Reef. The Great Reef Census will assist us in making better informed management decisions, based on absolute facts. It will give us a much more comprehensive understanding of the Reef and that will of course lead to better solutions and outcomes for the future of the Great Barrier Reef. #greatreefcensus
