22.01.2022 The group has just put out baits for foxes again so be careful of your dogs. Also the AGM will here at the macanbar on Tuesday the 9th of October at 6pm.

21.01.2022 Our weeds fieldday went well with everyone coming away with something new to their knowledge of weeds and control of them thanks to our guest speakers. Turns out the cochineal bug for each cacti is different we have prickly pear bugs if anyone needs them, if anyone else has rope pear or any others let everyone one know so we can spread them around.

18.01.2022 Warrumbingle Landcare is applyling for funding for feral animal control, with pigs the main ones in the governments sights. Motion cameras are a good way to find if you have ferals moving around.

17.01.2022 Some years ago this area was funded through landcare to be planted and fenced to join existing wildlife areas. Its amazing how it survived the dry even with the kangaroos and wallaby's eating it out heavily a long with the paddocks around it. We will need to reintroduce native grasses that have been eaten out but other than that it is a positive result.

16.01.2022 interesting read for most of us as it says pigs, chooks, ducks and dogs don't get the flu but cats do.

15.01.2022 Even the wildlife is struggling this summer so Warrumbungle Landcare group will meet when the weather cools down. Hopefully, it has rained and the stress and workload has eased. We will do a fox bait in March so keep that in mind, subs are due and I will try to get an email mail out to members.

13.01.2022 After the wonderful rain it is a good chance to check out prints to see what is around. This fox print shows even after baiting we still have foxes.

12.01.2022 Letting everyone know to watch out for thieves and troublemakers around machinery sheds and on properties at night as we have a problem in the district. Take rego numbers of any utes or trucks that don't seem right, let the property owner know and ring Toora police on 68481044.

12.01.2022 We will be fox baiting in the area as a group on the 25th of February.

10.01.2022 looks like 9th of April will be next fox bait message me if you wish to be part of it.

08.01.2022 Heres hoping that we all can be under some storms and not just see them. Thursday the 6th February at 6pm here at the emu farm will be the first warrumbungle landcare meeting for the year. we will be starting with a sausage sizzle so any members or new members coming just need to message me so we know how many sausages to get. there will be a lot to talk about with funding, projects and our group expanding towards Baradine.

05.01.2022 With harvest over some members have had good crops but not all. Now we all need to be on the lookout and report locust hatchings in the hope to stop a major plague and for those of us with a mouse plague, let's hope the rain stirs up a disease to control them. It has been a busy year for all and next year we have a few field days hopefully happening to make it just as busy. We wish everyone a good Christmas and we will catch up in the new year.

04.01.2022 found this interesting and since we have so many brown snakes around here everyone should have a read

03.01.2022 we are watching water troughs to see who visits as part of feral animal control as our group targets feral pigs.any member wanting to borrow cameras let me know.

02.01.2022 We are having a Landcare meeting this Wednesday 17th of Feb from 4pm here at the emu farm. I am sure the growing mice problem will but part of the discussion.
