25.01.2022 Your mind needs respite! There are so many ways to give your mind a break. Here are my top 3 ways to help the overthinking mind before you go into overthinking overwhelm Make time daily to sit quietly and quiet the mind. Yes, meditate! It doesn’t matter when or where, just do it! Lock yourself in the batheroom if you have to.....SO many benefits in this one action! Use a planner to create more space in your day and life. Prioritises your top 3 personal and top 3 business tasks for the day and only do more if you accomplish those and feel energized by it! Use it to journal your thoughts as well. Before you do anything for anyone else, make sure you’ve filled your cup with ‘you time’. Take a walk, yoga/Pilates session, healthy breakfast. It may mean getting up a little earlier which means you will be in bed earlier! Win Win! I have many other strategies and tools to help you with overcoming overwhelm. I’ve created a beautiful planner that is a game changer in implimenting these ways and creating more space in your day and mind! I would love to share this with those who would find it useful! 23.01.2022 Is that even a thing you might ask? YES! It’s the major cause of overwhelm! Our minds are active 24/7it never switches off! ... We have something like 70,000 thoughts a day! I know right? Do you remember every single one of those thoughts? NoImpossible! Mostly they are unconscious and are the same thoughts over and over! On top of those thoughts you have the conscious thoughts! The everyday thoughts, like the to do lists, the business or career decisions / demands / pressures, people who need your attention, family’s needs, children, grandparents, parents, nieces, nephews, organizing the school pick up/drop offs or home schooling coordination! The list goes on and especially with the world as it is right now...so much to think about! All of these thoughta are all running unconsciously in the back of your mind like a computer program! No wonder your exhausted at the end of the day! Not to mention when something in your life unexpected happens or your struggling in your relationships, finances, bissiness or career and then spiral into overthinking overthinking!! 20.01.2022 Be proud of yourself. It’s been a long journey of ups and downs, but somehow you’ve managed to make it this far. We live in a society that wants to tear everybody down often. None of us are perfect. Of course, ideally, you want to see that your efforts are showing signs of improvement. Still, the fact that you haven’t given up, and you’re trying your best, is reason enough to feel proud of yourself.... 19.01.2022 We’ve all been there. At some point in our lives, we question whether we are doing well enough or are capable of facing all the uncertainties that might come up as we grow older. We experience feelings of self-doubt around decisions and choices we made or simply feel that we’re not good enough. Self-doubt occurs when we lack confidence or feel incapable of doing things we need to do. How to overcome self-doubt:... Be aware of the people you surround yourself with. Do they support you and your direction in life? Raise Your Self-Awareness. Are you aware of your patterns of behaviors and thinking? Practice Self-Compassion. Say kind words to yourself daily! Stop Asking For Validation. Know that you are good enough and you are practicing all of the above, which is validation! When you embrace your true identity, there’s no room for self-doubt. We have this unconscious belief that if we are not constantly doing, we are not moving forward to achieving what we think we want! Our natural state of being is Joy and Love though most people are living the opposite of this reality! They are living in unconscious overwhelm You can still be doing from a state of beingrather than from a space of fear and panic. In... fact, you can achieve so much more from this space of being! Here are a few indicators that you may be living in unconscious overwhelm Do you find yourself indulging in behaviors that do not serve you? And, you feel you have no control over them? 06.01.2022 Emotional Empowerment is about the awakening of the unlimited power within, the power of self-awareness. Being aware of where you are at on the emotional scale on a day to day sometimes moment to moment basis is key. Assessing and keeping track of your emotional state to monitor as to continually move to a place of peace and love is freeing mentally, physically, and spiritually. This is what we are all striving for, right? ... It's taken me years, lots of learnings along the way, and investment in the self to get to where I am today. What I've learned in my journey can save you years of pain, frustration, and hard lessons! Transformation or change, if you will, is an inside job. We can only transform or change from the inside out. It is the only way to achieve emotional empowerment. Doing the inner work on a daily takes you closer to your true self. That is where your power is! The practice of conscious awareness and being in the moment, to see or feel your emotions. Stilling the mind and connecting to a deeper level to yourself. A calmer, more centered self and also opens channels to receive insights and downloads that can support and guide your direction in life. Truly Amazing! The overwhelmed feeling of juggling everything at home while working, homeschooling, and finding "you time" is a BIG ONE! When you are feeling off-balance and overwhelmed by all the responsibilities, remember you have the power to change your perspective anytime! 04.01.2022 Overwhelm is a condition and we all expereince it! People who tell you different are in denial! It can be a silent killer if you don't learn to manage it.. Recently, I hired a coach to support me in the technical aspects of growing my business and as I was navigating through what I was being taught to implement, I found myself in overwhelm land! My over achiever character cam...e out and I was trying to do it all and get it all done like now! Technology isn't my thing though I am always willing and open to learning new skills which I do eventually outsource as I'd rather be spending my time doing what I love and do best! To be honest, I'd been pretty much living in balance on cruise control for years so feeling this was foriegn for me as I've learned to manage it pretty well. Having worked extremely hard on myself for so many years to create a life I love and supporting others in doing the same has been my entire focus. I believe everything happens for a purpose. Where I found myself is exactly where I needed to be. I recognized that being in overwhelm was a good thing because I needed to reconnect with this experience that I hadn’t felt for so long in order serve the women who experience this on a daily basis more deeply. I had to feel this again to reconnect! Thankfully, I recognized the signs I was in overwhelm and went into action immediately. So, what did I do? I took a break; I cleared my diary for the afternoon and went and had something fun! Best thing ever!! This got me out of my biz doing head for a while and revitalized my energy to be fully focused and clear on my next steps! Which is why I’m sharing this important lesson with you today. 04.01.2022 My biggest struggle before working with Jo was feeling insecure and my lack of confidence. My favorite parts for me were reacquainting myself with meditation, relearning how to set boundaries without being offensive or demanding, the power of having a morning routine, and the daily planner. I now have a better awareness of some underlying self-sabotaging behaviors. I am more relaxed spending time doing the things I enjoy. I have regained my focus.... 01.01.2022 Recently I found myself in overwhelm mode and I recognized this as a good thing because I needed to reconnect with this experience that I hadn’t felt for so long in order to serve my community better. I had been pretty much living in balance and cruise control for years. Having worked extremely hard on me for so many years to create a life I love and supporting others in doing the same. Where I found myself is exactly what the women I help feel on a daily basis! Which... is why I say it is a good thingWe are only shown what we need to look at and addressright? I needed to experience this again to reconnect! How did I get to this point? Well, since Covid started, I felt so compelled to put myself out there more to be able to support more women with my expertise during this challenging time. I’m not the greatest marketer of myself and realized I would need help with this, so I hired a new coach who is super specialized in marketing and strategy. However amazing this has been, I’m the type of personality that when I’m given tasks to do, I do it and I do it now! Rather than in bite size pieces which ironically is what I know works best. I was just so excited with all this new information and ideas that I wanted to go into action immediately and get it done NOW! This landed me in overwhelm land which stifled my creativity and ability to get all that I set out to do effectively because I was trying to focus on too many components at one time and I got scattered! Luckily, I recognized the signs quickly and went into action immediately. So, what did I do? I took a break; I cleared my diary for the afternoon and went and had something fun! Best thing ever!! This got me out of my biz doing head for a while and revitalized my energy to be fully focused and clear on my next steps! Which is why I’m sharing this important lesson with you today.
