18.01.2022 During this year’s PANDA week, 8th - 14th Nov, we encourage you to talk about perinatal mental illness and support the mental health of expecting and new parents. Many parents experiencing perinatal mental health challenges feel overwhelmed, confused, isolated and ashamed about how they’re feeling. If this is you, try to remember that these thoughts are common, you are not alone and that help is available. It can be hard to recognise that something is wrong and it takes cour...age to seek help. Community expectations and stigma can make it difficult to acknowledge that you are struggling and seek the support you need. But it’s important to get help early so you can get support to take the first steps to recovery. That’s the best outcome for you as well as your baby and partner. Admitting you need help and seeking treatment or advice is not a sign of weakness. It shows that you want the best for yourself and your family. If you need help you can call PANDA’s National Perinatal Mental Health Helpline on 1300 726 306 See more

14.01.2022 When it comes to improving your health, it helps to have a goal. You might want to ‘get fitter’ but that’s too vague to focus on. Instead, saying to yourself, ‘...I want to get fitter, so I’ll go for a 15-minute jog on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays’ is far more effective. When you’re choosing your goal, it also helps to be realistic. If you hate jogging, don’t force it. Choose something you enjoy doing and it will be far easier to stick to. And don’t forget to be kind to yourself on your journey to better health. No one is perfect. If you slip up, just keep going! #TheLifeProgram #healthylifestyle #beactive #gethealthy #wellbeing #goals #goalsetting

11.01.2022 The festive season can be a busy one, but it’s also a great time to ‘sleigh’ your health goals while spending time with friends and family.

11.01.2022 The festive season can be a stressful time of year. During this busy period, missed calls and unanswered emails are an unfortunate fact of life. That can make i...t hard for people to find support when they decide to reach out for help. So this year, we’re asking people in Australia to update their voicemail, out-of-office, and social message spaces with messages for Beyond Blue. These powerful, personal messages can help break the stigma surrounding mental health, and let people know there is always someone there for support, even when you are not. Learn about all the ways you can spread the message that Beyond Blue is always available, at bb.org.au/2VmdzwM. If you’re looking for support to help you cope during this festive season, visit bb.org.au/2VouAq0
