I stayed with my uncle and my uncle said he had work - it was hard to find work then, there werent a lot of jobs going around. He said, Can you give me a hand next weekend? His brother-in-law came and said What are you doing here?! And my uncle said, Well... cant you see? Were building a foundation! He said, This block is not yours! 14.01.2022 Stories from the Street I’ve got this customer who comes in and likes to share her biscuit recipes. She actually brought in her tin for me to borrow and her handwritten recipes. I thought she might like her tin back, so I said to her yesterday ‘Look I probably won’t get a chance to make these biscuits until the weekend,’ and she said ‘No, no that’s fine I understand.’ So I’ll make these biscuits on the weekend and bring them in so I can give her some when I see her. There's a guy called Bill, who's 90 years old, there's another guy Leigh who is nearly 88 or 89 and another guy Albert who lives at Pascoe Vale Gardens retirement home, he comes in and they all meet here at about 7 o'clock, they have a bit of a talk for 15-20 min and hang around out the front.
